This is how any GM/FM must feel on this thread right now with the salt, seriously its so childish how this is getting because you can't sling religiously sensitive sayings into a minecraft role-play server.

On a side joke, are things which are 'light jokes' like Star-breaker-bucks also removed from this?

I don't even understand why you guys are complaining on such a trivial topic. Are you mad that you can't play Mohammed in a turban and spam /s "Allah Akbar" in front of other players who in the middle of serious RP? What I find sad is that the staff had to resort to doing that because of selfish immature players who should have common sense to know that they shouldn't do it.

If you guys find that it's hurting your gameplay, it says a lot about how pathetic you people are. Grow up and start being considerate of other people around you and think about the image your actions place on the server you play on.

>Talking about image given to server

>Goes around judging and insulting people, calling them pathetic.

Seriously, this is a hard topic for some of the people on LoTC and is flame bait, lets keep it calm, my people.

"Yeah, no. Bye. Banned Indefinantly." for saying Allah U Akbar, I've seen Powergamers get Temp bans, but me saying Allah U Akbar is worse? I'm Sorry.  But there a thing called freedom of speech which is located in The First Amendment  to the United States  Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws. Aren't I allowed to say something? Now I perfectly understand that it may be offensive and i respect that but please think again on unbanning me.

I think this is a step in the right direction.

Everyone, just take a step back and remember why you joined. Hopefully it was to create some freakin rad adventures with some freakin rad people. I don't think any of us joined (but I've been wrong before) to go around and piss people off. Be chill, get off the forums, log in, and get those adventures stirring again.

a. Saying Allahu Akbar is neither toxic nor satirical. Allah translates to God from Arabic to English and Akbar is the superlative form of Kabeer which means large or great. You might want to either restate this rule as either:

Anachronistic Sayings are disallowed or Sayings of Real Life Religions are disallowed

AKA Find a different way of wording that rule. I'm not offended, I've had folks walk up to me in jihadi skins and yell Allahu Akbar and I laughed honestly, but I think the rule needs rewording.

b. Define what the hell a meme is, because I saw you and the crew you used to hang with post memes, merrymoogle used to meme, etc. What is a meme exactly? Sorry if I don't know how to do that, because I really don't go out of my way to seem oddball lol

Holy **** everyone needs to chill out. All they're doing is telling you that you can't do **** you already knew you weren't supposed to do. This shouldn't be controversial, and trying to present specific scenarios in which their specific examples might possibly be acceptable does you no benefit. They want people to keep things IC and not say stuff on the server that you would never say in real life because it's not appropriate. And if you're dumb enough to say Allahu Akbar in real life, then you're an idiot who clearly doesn't understand basic social norms.

Likewise, just because this is the one change they've announced right now after the meeting doesn't mean they didn't discuss the various other more important things that need to be addressed. More likely, this is the less controversial and most easily implemented thing that needed addressing, so they did it quickly because, hey, it's common sense.

Just take a puff of dat green green grass, sit back and realize that you're bitching over literally nothing. You can use your time better.
