Alt Accounts And Reminders

Hello LoTC!

 

From the corner of AT and player retention, there are a few server wide announcements with rules that’ll be effecting y’all so thought I’d better give you an update.

 

This one will get the most controversy, so I’ll pull the bandage off fast and get it out of the way first. Alt accounts will be limited to three per person. This is to help the Global Moderators keep track of who owns the accounts, as well as make it so that it’s harder to break persona rules! It also gets a little suspicious to see when someone wants to whitelist maybe ten accounts. With the three alt accounts and your main, that’s four accounts per person and, if you’re not a donor, eight personas. That’s eight characters and skills to be actively roleplaying.

 

Those already on the server with more than three alts need not fear, you will be grandfathered in. If you have a personal reason for keeping more than three alt accounts, all you need is to message the AT Lead (Myself) and explain your situation. I’m not here to block your roleplay but to keep track of who is making accounts and why.

 

In other, more general news, this is also a reminder for players in Wandering Souls chat to remain polite and on topic. I love seeing older players helping new players and even recruiting and explaining what’s going on in the world. I do, however, worry sometimes when I see a soul getting snapped at or when WS is filled with off topic chatter. Remember, you can move to /ooc or private messages if you want to talk about other topics. We want souls interested in the server, not scared away with rudeness and politics! If you have issues with souls, you can always message me on the forums or get a GM/AT to message me on skype. I will get on as soon as possible to help.

 

Final announcement! After this is posted I will be posting a thread in the your view section for community feedback regarding anything from player retention to the application process, I will then be processing the feedback given and bringing them up at a staff meeting.

Not that I RP with all of them a lot, but I have 3 Alt accounts, all of which are on LotC.

Only being able to craft one thing at a time, I'm assuming. At least thats the only reason I see to have so many alts.

More alts, more crafting.

 

Perhaps make it 1 item crafting per skill, if thats possible? Or giving donators extra crafting slots in replace of something else?

 

It'd be nice to be able to make an enchantment, craft leather armor, and play around with tinkering at the same time.
