Operation Crimson Star was a success, however I lost half of my squad. Thus, I present, our first fatality.

The other one that died was a lady from China that I didn't realize I had yet to name, so that was lucky, eh? Not one of your characters.

 

 

Leonard made it through by the skin of his teeth. He was poisoned and finally recovered at a mere 1 HP. The good news however is we will be receiving a heavy sergeant as thanks for completing this mission, so our losses are not too costly, despite our heavy hearts.

 

Lucion still has 4 days left in med bay, Horen has 5.

We resume next time with our new squad, one member larger now, takes on an abduction mission within Brazil.

The operation went smoothly, run of the mill. There were only two pods on the whole map. Unfortunately, one of the sectoids did get a very, very lucky shot off and scored a critical hit on Silus while he was behind half cover. That's one of the aspects to the secondary options, guns have very random damage modifiers.

Dak'ir has survived long enough to reach an officer's rank and will now be known by his nickname, Sexbang.

 

 

The month is now over, a council report has been delivered to us. Mexico withdrew from the council like the little ***** it is. We were given a B. Not a good start, especially for the first month, but there's not a lot to do considering we're rather strapped for cash and we successfully completed every mission.

 

 

Next mission, Operation Unceasing Vengeance. A fitting name on the follow up mission after Silus' death. Duff makes his return as the squad medic and Lucion is steadily coming out to be a solid gunner. Dak'ir with his shotgun has proven to be the most deadly, but Gabrielle has plenty of potential herself. Elorna still has yet to hit anything with her sniper rifle.
