Your Favorite Impure 736 Share Posted May 4, 2015 Really, the best way is to just go out in the world and experience it. Get a feel for what you like in the world and, depending on what you like, decide the community which you want to be a part of. One of the great things to do is to join a guild of sorts. Back in 2.5, I joined the guard force and that's who I've basically stuck with this whole time. They offer quite experience as well as a wide array of characters to meet and interact with. Good luck out there, and don't hesitate to shoot me a PM!
craotor 617 Share Posted May 4, 2015 The best way in my opinion is to just go to one of the major cities and just start talking to people, comment on small things and such. As for jobs and friends there are always tons of guilds and organisations recruiting that will try and teach you the basics of LOTC. If you are a human soldier there is amyas, elf ranger there is the sons of cenauros and etc
Birdnerdy 1539 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I was lucky enough to be recruited by a group of players looking for citizens for their town. The town fell apart before long, but I had gotten acquainted with how the server worked by then, and it helped me set out into the rest of the world. Jonificus 2763 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I normally give myself a goal and work towards that goal and see where it leads me. This week's goal? Start up a successful brewery! Wonder what'll happen.
Pureimp10 5691 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I was lucky enough to be recruited into the Decterum, one of the human nation's main militaries at the time. We had some fun RP, with rallying events, and war games, and feasts, and all that good stuff. Even had a few quests too. Really, the way to work is to go to the nation that interests you the most, and see if you can join a guild or order or whatever.
Fireheart 2777 Share Posted May 4, 2015 A lot of times I find guilds to be fun because you put in work and are, in most cases, guaranteed to get something out of it. You could explore that section of the forums for more information. If you are just looking for random RP, don't be shy and walk up to people. Most of the times they will bring you into a conversation and in those cases it will help you become a better RPer.
