Googlesearch 141 Share Posted June 26, 2015 I 100% agree with this. I have recently seen a human 7ft tall duel wielding a great sword and a longsword. They also then leaped up into the air whilst spinning and threw the great sword at someone...and hit them. He has now been villainy blacklisted already after 10 days on the server. Delrof 381 Author Share Posted June 26, 2015 If you're gonna make your character the min/max height boundary, at least do it with some integrity. If I want to play a human over six feet tall he should be slender, or at least not jacked. But seven feet and built like a tank? Come on, all but a lucky few in the lotc-verse live off of more than bread and the occasional tater or dried fish. Unless you have lore approved for protein powder (which if you do please let me know) you shouldn't be a man built like an Orc. Also I believe Mog had a witch-hunt for people RPing out of believable racial boundaries when he played Godfrey, claiming that they were monsters and freaks. Seemed to work pretty well in bringing the average height down a few inches. Well I feel bad now because my char is 6'5 and jacked af, but in fairness I try to rp it out properly by having him consume a ridiculous amount of food, which is turned to muscle due to all of his physical training (though needless to say he is incredibly unhealthy, poor stamina and **** to balance it all out)

Halflings are cute, let them do their thing Dwarves from 4 to 5'4ft! Kha to 7ft! glorious

Dewpboy (?) made a 7'2 guy in the fringe and everyone called him a freak and some northern clan wanted him burned or something, I can't recall, but branding them as 'monsters' would be fun RP. Highlanders are supposed to be the largest of the human groups and there maximum height should be 6'5 max.
Guy d'Yood of Mann 39 Share Posted June 26, 2015 +1. T'is been a bit of a weird case lately. I've seen a lot of heights like you folks, and I do know that while there's certain reasons for some to be taller or shorter (like a halfbreed elf who's pa was an uruk), there's still kinda little clarification for newbies as to what height they might wanna get on starters - but, sometimes t'is not a trend just for the new folks, hence we get giant gobbos o' elves, an' sometimes tiney ologs. But Iunno. I jus' wan' the issue looked at a bit more seriously.
ThumperJack 927 Share Posted June 26, 2015 Most dwarves are around 4'3 to 5'4, 5'4 being very tall. Although there is one thing you aren't taking into account, Half-Breeds.

He's dwarfed by a lot of fellow Darkies when I do sometimes play him. Though he's meant to be shorter than average, he's not meant to be a dwarf compared to other Dark Elves, who'd be like you said, within 5ft. Edit: Also, the average for High Elves is 6'6" as established by.. Well, the average being 6'6". Most High Elves at the time, were indeed 6'6" or similar.
