Connection Issues

I've been having issues connecting to the server for a couple hours now. It appears no one else is having these problems. I've tried two ips mc.lotc.co and login.lordofthecraft.net and I get the same error from them.

 

Connection refused: no further information

 

I did a search online for this problem and came up with this video.

I've done as the video suggested testing a connection to another server and nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I tried that and I'll try it again now. I'll edit my post with the result once its done restarting.

My firewall is handled through Kaspersky which doesn't allow me to use the control panel to open those ports. I'm not great with technology so I don't know how to open that specific port with Kaspersky

Try disabling the firewall itself and then see if you can connect. If you can, you know the issue, if not then post back.

Disabled the firewall and it did not solve the problem. I was on only 3 or so days ago once the new map opened.

^^Having the same problems, followed all the info on the post here and nothing works. Could it be a server side issue of not allowing us in for whatever reason?

I have a similar problem to this one. I was able to connect -one- time for like three minutes today before a server restart and haven't been able to connect since. All of my other servers are loading fine and I'm able to connect to them, it's just LotC that's giving me the trouble. I've tried mc.lordofthecraft.net, login.lordofthecraft.net, and mc.lotc.co in the hopes it was just an address issue, I restarted my router, disconnected and reconnected from the internet, closed Minecraft completely down and reopened it, -and- restarted my computer. Nothing has worked. I've followed the steps stated above, enabled and disabled my firewalls, double-checked to make sure my router hadn't put up a port blocker; nothing has worked. If anyone has a solution, it'd be appreciated.

 

The only error I get is a connection timeout, so its acting like my computer just isn't able to communicate with the server fast enough in order to connect, but I connected to much busier, more plugin-intensive servers and they worked just fine aside from my usual connection lag issues.

 

Most of the day, all I can see on my LotC link for my Minecraft servers, except for the one time I was able to connect, is just the name I gave it, the default server icon, and 'Can't Connect to Server' where it would normally show the server tagline that is set. Earlier there was one other server that had the same issue, but that has since fixed itself and I'm able to connect to that server as well now.
