What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The rule that I agree with the most is ‘if a mod gives you an answer you do not like, you can not continue pushing the subject’. When a mod has given an answer I think it is disrespectful and rude to continue arguing with them and so I agree with this rule fully.

 

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): I understand all the rules but if I become confused in the future I will be sure to ask for help.

 

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? A friend and I were looking for an in-depth and serious roleplay server and they came across a YouTube video where someone was playing The Lord of the Craft. We both liked the look of it and decided to check it out and here we are!

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is creating a character or multiple characters and acting out scenarios as if you were them for a period of time. Roleplay is often set in a fantastical environment as it can be used as a way to escape from realism and have fun pretending you are someone else.

 

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using knowledge that the player knows but the character would not know therefore gaining an advantage in the roleplay. For example you know another character has a specific weakness but your character has no way of knowing this and because your character is losing in a fight you use your knowledge of the other character’s weakness to your advantage and win the fight.

 

What is powergaming?: Powergaming is giving your character unrealistic power. For example dodging every attack that comes toward you or killing someone instantly.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they  don’t contradict history.):

 

Illithri was born in some of the worst circumstances, during the escape from Thales. The Deep Freeze had started to spread across the realm bringing snow, cold and darkness with it. It was said that safety could be found in the port city Tuv Aviv. The Descendants gathered there piling into the ships that would take them to the new realm of Athera where they could hope to start over and lead a life of peace. Her mother and father among those that hoped and prayed for it to be true. When they arrived her mother was asked to make her way below deck as she was heavily pregnant and in no condition to fight. Her father on the other hand had a sword placed into his hand and was asked to fight for their freedom as Gazadriel attacked the ships ready to set sail. As the ships set sail her mother gave birth to twins, herself and her sister Elora. As they got further away from the land they had once called home her mother could only wonder what had happened to her husband and to the present day hoped and believed that he was still alive and would appear on a ship sailing into Athera soon.

 

Illithri grew up with her mother and her sister in the realm of Athera on the outskirts of Laurelin. She had a rich and lively childhood going on all kinds of travels with her mother and learning about the history of her race. Throughout her childhood she was rarely seen without a bow in her hands practicing on anything and everything she could. When she was older she was often seen in the grove of flowers to the east trying her shot against the plentiful game that resided there. As she grew, her mother constantly taught her the ideas that her father had felt strongly about. The motto that Illithri liked the most was, ‘the first step to becoming a good elf is to respect nature as if it is one of your own’. The day that her mother told her this she stopped shooting at the trees that surrounded her home and visited the mother tree in the center of Laurelin to apologise for her carelessness and promised that she would respect nature from that day forward.

 

Her mother taught her and her sister that knowledge is the biggest strength that they would find in the world and to learn new things whenever they could. Illithri already had a thirst for knowledge before this but this made it stronger and she began to read through the books that her mother had and any others that she found. After they had been forced to flee Thales, Illithri’s mother started a bakery selling bread and other delicious baked goods to passing travellers and to regular customers in the surrounding areas. She taught both Illithri and Elora how to bake and they often helped out. As they both got older they travelled further and further where they would be away from home for weeks but they would always return never leaving each others side.

 

In the year 1513 they were returning home from travelling when the giant worm attacked Athera seperating them from their mother and forcing them to depart from Athera and move to the Isles of Vailor with the clothes on their backs and the minimal supplies they had from travelling. The sudden departure had flipped Illithri’s life upside down. She had to restart her life with her sister and try to gain back what they had before. They both decided to start up a bakery as it was the one thing they knew they could make a living out of. Presently, Illithri is focusing on co-running the bakery to keep their stable income. She hopes to travel soon to see the sights of the rest of Vailor and to search for their mother to reunite the family. She is still practicing her archery whenever she can and trying to seek out the path to learning magic whilst taking all the opportunities that now surround her in her life.

 

Personality Traits:

 

Loyal - The most valuable trait to Illithri is her loyalty. From her sister to the allies and friends she has made along the way she would never think about betraying any of them. She despises anyone who betrays those that put their trust in them and would rather die than do that herself. If anyone she was close to got into trouble she would defend their life as if it was her own without hesitation.

 

Hot-Headed - Many would think of hot-headedness to be a weakness however Illithri accepts that it is part of her and plays on it to her advantage in confrontations. Where others may get caught up in their anger, Illithri is often able to bring the situation around to her way of thinking. However, there are still times where she acts before thinking leading to unwanted circumstances. In the past people have called this brave but she disagrees and continuously works on improving her control.

 

Determined - Determined to a fault and often described as stubborn, when Illithri sets her mind on something she will strive after it until she achieves it despite the obstacles in between. She is very headstrong regularly causing arguments over her refusing to change her mind. At times in the past she has accidentally led herself and others into danger but hasn’t learned from these mistakes. She will always get tasks done on time which is especially useful when working at the bakery with her sister as the multiple orders are always completed.

 

Inquisitive - Illithri has always been inquisitive from a young age but with the new and  countless opportunities around her, her thirst for knowledge has grown even stronger as she now wishes to learn more about the world that she currently lives in. She is interested in the druidic order and likes to visit the Druid’s Grove often hoping to gain knowledge and skills. She also wants to seek out the path to learning magic and is determined to in the future.

 

Ambitions: Illithri has many ambitions that she wishes to achieve during her life but the most important to her is looking after the bakery business and watching it flourish as its customer base grows. As this is her and her sisters only source of income it is important to Illithri that she keeps that income stable so that they will never need to worry. She would also like to learn more about the druidic order and would like gain the skills of magic in the future.

 

Strengths/Talents: From an early age a bow was thrust into the hands of Illithri, allowing her talent with the weapon to develop quickly during her childhood and into the present day. She is very attached to her bow saying that when she shoots, part of her soul travels with the arrow until it’s landing. Generally speaking, Illithri is kind and friendly allowing people who she trusts to get close to her with ease. Another one of her strengths is that she is able to find the good in a bad situation. No matter how bad something gets she will always be optimistic and find an aspect that is good. This means that she is very useful during battles and dire settings as she can raise the morale of the people she is with.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Illithri’s main weakness is that she trusts too easily without thinking of the potential consequences. She tends to let people whom she has only known for a few days into a part of her life leading to people taking advantage of her. She is also extremely careful with the minas her and her sister have managed to earn and is very cautious about spending it and will hold out for as long as possible before handing over any minas.  Illithri, whilst good at archery is bad in close combat situations. She has only held a sword once before in her life and so has little to no experience in how to handle herself when she is directly in front of an opponent and thus will keep her distance if possible.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Illithri stands at 5’6” and weighs 126 lbs. She has brown eyes and naturally has long brown hair however she chooses to dye it green.
