Laureh'lin Citizen Clause

Since the introduction of taxes in 1522, there was a need to create a comprehensive set of laws that clarifies what the citizens have to abide by in order to live peacefully and for the prosperity of the Province of Laureh'lin.

This document shall provide with all the terms and conditions to owning a home and becoming a citizen of Laureh'lin. It was written in 1521 by Siri Ihelia, Guildmaster of the Province of Laureh'lin. 

 

 

  1. That you acknowledge that you follow the law of the Province of Laureh'lin

  2. That you acknowledge that you follow the law of the Crown of Oren

  3. That you acknowledge that failure to follow the law will result in the appropriete punishment

  4. That you acknowledge that you are a citizen of the Province of Laureh'lin

  5. That by owning a home you agree to contribute to society in times of prosperity and turmoil

  6. That by owning a home you agree to pay economic dues to the Province of Laureh'lin for its growth yearly

  7. That by owning a business you agree to contribute to society in times of prosperity and turmoil

  8. That by owning a business you agree to pay economic dues to the Province of Laureh'lin for its growth yearly

  9. That failure to adhere to one's civic responsibility will result in confistication of property

  10. That failure to adhere to one's economic responsibility will result in confistication of property

  11. If another mali wishes to stay together in an already occupied home, the owner and new occupant must notify the registry

  12. If there is a child in the household, he/she does not require to be registered until they reach the age of 30

  13. In times of war and emergencies, one abled-bodied citizen from each household must contribute to the Order of the Sirame

  14. In times of war and emergencies, the Province may choose to increase or decrease the civic and economic contribution to the State

  15. Those with desirable professions will be given a lesser economic responsibility in return for their services to the Province

  16. Such professions are : Soldiers of the Sirame, Blacksmiths, Tinkerers, Enchanters, Fletchers, Scholars, miners

  17. That you are aware any complaint that one has against a member of the citizenry, military, or government should be sent directly to the Praetor to be handled and corrected if necessary.

  18. That you are aware any complaint or questions that one has against a ruling of the law or application of it should be sent directly to the Chancellor to be handled and corrected if necessary.

  19. That you are aware any complaint or questions that one has regarding the approval of home or economic and civic responsibilities should be sent directly to the Guildmaster to be handled and corrected if necessary.

  20. As a citizen you have a right to demand transparency and question the decision of Province leadership in a respectful and civilized manner

Caldarin would read through the notice quickly, "Good to know," he mutters under his breath. "I should probably get a copy, just in case." He heads towards the Sirame barracks, going to ask for an extra copy of the document.

Would read over the notice, nodding after finishing. "Seems reasonable." he says before shuffling back to the Grove.
