The Young Rise High

Obviously, if you don't have access to the area where the note is located, you wouldn't know of it unless told of it in-game.

A lone Sirame would make his way to the barracks and notice a note pinned to the side, with a lump of various items on the outing by the side. Deciding not to touch it himself, he would call upon the nearest officer to investigate the means and upon further observation the items would simply be, golden El'Tir badges and a Sirame uniform, with the note reading as follows.

I, Toren Camoryn, hereby forfeit my position as El'Tir, walking away from the Sirame as well as issuing a self induced exile from laurelin of no less than five years. The reasons for each would be simple.

Regarding me forfeiting my position, I feel that my command as El'Tir wasn't taken seriously or listened to due to my age, albeit I have my own higher ups to report this to but if I cannot be listened to originally by mali that are old enough to know better, they shall never learn and I haven't got the patience to teach a mali ten times my age common respect.

When it comes to the Sirame, I had a lot of respect for the mali that wear the uniform. I still do but not as a whole and not for the reasons I originally wished to join for. My respect has twisted from an honorable and respectable way of defending one's kin, to a respect for those higher up to have such a high tolerance and endurance to both handle the sheer lack of respect of those below them and as well from the citizens they are here to protect.

Finally as for my self induced exile, I haven't got much to explain as my cheeks flush with anger the second I see the one regarded as Berr Athri, the sheer fact that he has been allowed to walk the streets. Not only is he allowed to walk the streets a citizen, but as a Sirame, makes me. No. Compels me to drive my sword through his chest and watch as his body goes lifeless. I will admit that it was I that threw a rock threw the Athri's house, it wasn't I who wrote the note but regardless of who wrote it, my intentions were clear as the day and I mean it to this second, Berr Athri should watch his back because I cannot say that I will be able to control myself if I see the man.

In addition to all of this, I have few points and some requests, granted I should not have requests due to the above but these affect others only who have committed nothing wrong.

Firstly, my burrow. It is claimed under my name but another resides there, Aswynn Raeth'ir and aspires to become a nurse, perhaps even learn cleric healing one day. Something that Laurelin needs and thus someone I would hope you allow to continue using the burrow, free from taxes.

Secondly,  my parents. Everything that I have done or have said, should hold no impact upon them as they are not the ones controlling my actions. I take full responsibility for everything.

Lastely, Calius, Kairn and Tristin. No requests. I have failed you.

Signed,

Toren Camoryn.

Aenor has the note brought to his attention, skimming it over with a placid expression. Upon finishing it a small sigh escapes from his lips as he murmurs to himself.

"Need we anymore evidence to prove the Berr Athri is incompetent to wear the uniform that we hold so dear? With each passing day, many lose respect for the name 'Sirame', even those within our own ranks. Insubordination will not go unpunished. They think Kairn is brutal? Wait until they see the better half that contributed to his existence."

Aenor thrusts the note into the unnamed Sirame's chest and grasp, striding off without another word.

Art simply let out a tired sigh as he read the note, closing his eyes briefly before pushing himself out of the dimly lighted work basement he was seated in and emerging into the Laurehlin sunset, trudging off to find his son.

Calius would be in the markets and have missed the note having taken Toren under an arm and going for a little walk around the island after seeing Toren looking mopey.

Caldarin would find the note and sigh, "There goes another one, hopefully he comes back this time." He looks over t he rest of the note and his eyes narrow. "I haven't talked a lot to Berr... Perhaps there's more to him than I originally thought. It is unfortunate that Toren has exiled himself though, he was a great El'Tir."

As Elsiln reads the note he sighs, deeply "I'll admit, Berr can be a fool but, as to why Toren has a grudge on him I know not why. If anything Toren should apologize, as Berr did to Kairn when he made death threats to him, I say this as a fellow Sirame, not as his kin." He continues to ponder on the situation before adding "Berr has caused quite a stir lately, I need to speak with him..."

Berr Athri would read the note, his face becomes a bit of a red shade, it slowly fades as he plops his head down shaking his head while pinching the bridge of his nose

"You leave after, 'you' kick me down the stairs, after 'you' threaten the Athri family, after 'you' call us scum." Berr sighs "Me listening to Elsiln, and not you, makes you leave the Sirame? You should think of who is really in the wrong here, kiddo." Berr says these words, as he walks away sighing.

"He leaves because you are dumb and do not comprehend the ******* fact that you can't do whatever the **** you want." uttered the El'Ceru, Kairn Calithil in response.

"If you had not started this, it wouldn't have ended with another Tir gone. You will be punished severely for creating this brutal, feral feud. This is not an act worthy of a Mali, Berr."

"If you think one side is blameless then you are a fool, Kairn. Every single bickering manchild in this ongoing feud disgusts me. Each and every one of you. From Berr's pettiness, to you Kairn, with your needless ruthlessness. There is being strict and then there is being hostile. You are simply being hostile, which fuels their insubordination, and their insubordination fuels your toxic hostility."

Artimec took a deep breath.

"It's a vicious cycle."

He repeated himself once more:

"You all disgust me. Every, single, one of you is equally to blame no matter what either side says. Kairn, you will loosen up and stop being a hostile temper tantrum throwing tyrant. Those who are insubordinate to him and Toren, namely Berr and Esgalwathon, will listen to your superiors. Even if you don't want to. You don't get to choose which El'Tirs you are under the authority of."

With that he folded his hands behind his back and regarded each elf with a cold stare.

"All of you will do as I just said, and I will make sure both sides suffer if this vicious cycle continues."

"You disgust me, I've not thrown a single tantrum. That would've been you, ikru. You will not make anybody suffer, Legislator. I am not a tyrant, I am stating the simple ******* fact. Berr has done many transgressions in the Order, more so than Toren who I see is the wounded party in my own eyes.

"I will have the appropriate punishments singled out to each person involved, Toren included, Camoryn. But do not think I am as blind as to heed the words of a womanizer and he who desecrates the very foundation of marriage in our culture and earns the ire of all around him."

Kairn spoke aloud calmly, moving his hands behind his back and staring down at Artimec.

Caldarin would agree with Artimec's words from where he is on the side of the room. He wasn't part of the feud in the first place, but he knew he needed to keep his place in line. He thought Kairn was slightly harsh, but necessarily didn't think he was wrong for being so. Caldarin nods at the words in Kairn's reply, thinking of them as slightly more reasonable, but stays silent as the conversation ensues.

Kairn spoke aloud calmly, moving his hands behind his back and staring down at Artimec.

"You are part of the problem and if your attitude persists you will be punished. It is time you learned to swallow your pride and respect your betters if you want those under you to respect their betters. You have been acting like a tyrant and you have taken the act of a strict drill sergeant too far. Insubordination is as much the failure of the leader as it is the soldier, and if you continue to fail to recognize this you will not be leader much longer.

If you choose to ignore the authority of your superior because you do not like him personally, that is the ultimate hypocrisy on your part.

You will do as I say, this is not optional.

Chancellor Camoryn."

Kairn Calithil would now raise his voice at the gathering, stating the following.

"Despite Artimec and I's disagreement and my rash response, I agree with him this bull must stop. If it continues, I will show you why people hate me. I will express clearly my violent traits. As your acting El'Ceru, I will punish the continued transgressions by all involved." he sighed, moving his hands again behind his back and tapping his thumb to his back as if he's attempting to calm himself. He mutters,

1 2 3 4 5

He then said, "That is all."

"No you will not, El'Tir Kairn. Both you and the insubordinate Sirame have failed in their duties. Them as soldiers and you as a commander. You will not be passing judgement as you are part of the problem, not the solution. The issue has ascended to the el'Annil and the Praetor to deal with both parties."

Caldarin nods at both Kairn and Artimec's words, continuing to stay silent. He hopes that he would not be on the receiving end of any punishments because he was never involved in the feud, and also hopes that the SIrame ranks will stop being full of insubordination and argument. Arguing and insubordination would never end up creating a strong military or defense in times of war or need. Caldarin stays non-moving while standing off to the side, believing that hopefully the El'Annil and Praetor will deal with the problems and insubordination in the Order of Sirame.
