After playing the 1.8 Pre-release, count me down for some Cooking Mastery. I have a feeling we're going to be going through a lot of meat. It'll go with my hunter/ranger theme and I'll take points out of mining/blacksmithing if it comes down to that.

((Aye i live in Aegis! I'll be glad to be a dedicated diamond repairer. I am just 36 blacksmithing at the moment as i have not attempted to grind since i hit 35. I do, however have two chests of nearly broken iron picks sitting aside and a stack of iron ore for an upcoming double xp event i hear rumors of. if others were to coordinate more things for me to repair and smelt i might have a chance of gaining some serious levels. I would gladly stand by a furnace for ten hours and repair everyones items free of charge if it meant i could repair all the orc's diamond items whenever they needed it.

You realize 69-70 smithing alone requires 149,523 Iron repairs if the multiplier holds, which is just impossible. If they cap it at 50 it's still 3.9k iron per level, so 35-70 would still be 100k repairs.

((lol yeah that's nuts...it took smelting like fifteen stacks of iron just to go from 25-35 lol. I guess i'll just forget about becoming a diamond repairer unless they make it more plausible))

current stats (give or take a little)

mining: 40

blacksmithing: 36

swords: 30

farming: 35

excavating: 40

lumberjacking: 25

think thats about it, i plan on getting mining up to at least 50 and maybe swords up to 40 and farming up to 50. people were complaining 275 cap was low but it's more than enough be very proficient in nearly everything...they need more lucrative reasons to level some stats up like lumberjacking and excavating...like the possiblility of dropping diamonds, gold, iron or like glowstone only coming from high level excavating. i'll probably level up melee some too...i mean...what else is there? and no thank you to fishing:p))

What all is needed/most needed at the moment? My character is a fairly new Goblin, so I would just like to get an idea of where I could be most useful (obviously not going for any high-lvl combat role seeing as my char is a Goblin). Any trade skills, building, and/or engineering (redstone and the likes) are all things I feel that I'm familiar with and skilled at, so I could serve in whatever capacity is needed.

Magic isn't coming out for a looong time, so it is useless to factor it into your stat count now. Just go with whatever you want for the time being.

I know I'm not an Orc buuuut

Swords - 40

Archery - 60 - 100 (When its fixed... I will need a lot of arrows.)

Cooking - 30 OR 60.

Farming - 50

Wrestling - 30

mining lvl 50 is very good lvl 30 is also good so you can break sandstone as its the most material we use for building

Aye fellow Goblin! Our services as miners, blacksmiths, and merchants as well as architects, cooks, farmers, and engineers are valued in Orc society. When it comes to military I am wanting to get my skill with a pickaxe higher so i can break even obsidian if need be but my fighting role (even though i can wield an iron sword) is mainly to support da Orcs with my archery and making sure that all Orcs have weapons, armor, and food to keep up their stamina during battles.
