A letter, expertly penned by a trained calligraphist and sealed with the Lorraine Cross is delivered to all Lords of the realm, as well as His Majesty the King. Along with the letter comes a small wooden Lorraine Cross, to each recipient.

Questions and Answers about the Sacrament of Confession

To Those Lords, And the King, Whom Rule the Realm of Man;

It has become increasingly apparent to myself, in the past few Saint Days since my return from Aeldin, that the people of Oren have grown lax in their practice of the Faith in some aspects, including yourselves. While such unfortunate and surely unintentional neglect is understandable when rebounding from such a devastating civil war, I believe that even beforehand the practice of offering Confession was and is almost wholly forgotten by the massive majority of GOD's Faithful, including even it's Lords and King.

Confession, one of the Seven Sacraments of the Faith, is an imperative part of one's relationship to GOD. To offer Confession is to seat oneself before GOD in judgement and admit his sins, so that GOD may properly absolve the remorseful through the Ministry of the Church. Without this absolution, one's ascension to the Skies where GOD reigns shall be weighed down by those very sins.

I urge you, Lords of the Realm, and His Majesty the King, to not only take Confession and do so soon and regularly, but to urge your small-folk to do the same; for it is only through GOD and the Ministry of the Church that we may prepare for the Skies where He reigns. If you find any difficulty whatsoever in finding a Priest to whom to offer your confession, please send me a letter post-haste and I shall be there.

GOD bless you. Theos megalus, theos thelei.

Father Iosif tau Roiye

The bird keeper in Aurelia brings the message into the dim-lit hall of Arthur Roswell. The new lord scans over the page, raising his eyebrows and nodding along, agreeing with the words on the parchment. He turns to his steward and tells him to write down his words. The steward would write the following:

Father, I am fully supportive of your words and logic. To remain as a powerful kingdom the Lords of Oren must remain as pious as is possible. I am aware that  confession is of huge importance. I myself would like to seek mercy from God, with a confession. I believe that this will put my mind at rest, and allow my soul safe passage into the skies, so that my sins do not pressure God. I would also like to add that the construction of a church in Aurelia is of the utmost importance. It will be the first building to be constructed on my land. This requires a holy man to come and give service. As a result of this, I would request word to be spread that I am looking for a holy man to work the soon to be constructed church of Aurelia.

Yours sincerely

Arthur Roswell, Count of Pompourelia, Baron of Aurelia, and Lord Marshall of Istria
