With the recent election coming to a closer, Ezio found himself as the Serene Doge of Genoa. He beamed proudly and calles forth the ministers and advisors to bring him to speed. Crimea was young but full of promises of gold. A greedy smile crossed Ezio's lips as the steward set a heavy sack of coin before the privy, the Doge eagerly awaited counting the gilded circles...

 

I am aware this dynasty is ahistorical but I found Genoa lackinf when it came to a list of dpges as it seems the city was lax in record keeping

Brief Rp paragraph to get a feel for how well you can rp said nation: King Geza is in his deathbed, the magnificent King did much for the Kingdom of Hungary leading it to a time of stability and prosperity, his main goals though were to increase the realms influence in Kiev something he acomplished by interveining directly at least 6 times to save his weak russian ally. Now on his deathbed he passes on his titles to his son Bella III, his second son and heir. The Arpad dinasty has great plans for Europe but it all depends on rather Bella III can secure the throne from his envious older brother Stephen.

Brief Rp paragraph to get a feel for how well you can rp said nation: Alfonso VIII looked over the maps of Navarre with a furrowed brow, looking up from it quietly every so often as he scratched his head, before he was lifted and brought to bed. Manrique Perez de Lara looked over the map with quiet anxiety, hoping to finally end the initial troubles of the boy's rule by invading the lands. The Castro family would be offered a chance to come back from exile, and perhaps even profit from the past issues of the de Lara family, as much in the way of wealth was offered to them in Navarre. Tension filled the air of every room the man walked into, as fate clearly screamed that Castile was to rise, but would he be the man to see it hit the grandeur God had clearly intended it?

The wild Gaelic roots of this island still held strong in its western region of Connaught, and this was clearly represented in its king. The region had long since accepted God as their only lord, but the peasant folk still whispered that Tairrdelbach Ua Conchobair carried the benevolence of Bridgid of spring in his demeanor, and the ferocity of Lug.

 

Every hamlet and village throughout the rolling green hills of Ireland's mid-west swore allegiance to their king, as he had brought something the bickering clans of the Gaeltacht had not seen for awhile, stability.

 

Thus thought Ruaidri as he stood by his fathers wooden throne in the stone keep he had helped him build. The younger gaelic warrior was one who possessed much filial piety, but as he noticed the graying hair and occasional coughing fits of the man beside him, he wondered how long until he would take the mantle.

Interesting Fact about your Realm: This is a turbulent time in Aragon. The succession leading up to Petronilla's coronation is rife with uncertainty and unrest. She came to the throne on rare circumstances. Her father was a Bishop (Ramiro), brother to the then current King Alfonso the First, and when he died without an heir decided to leave the crown to the prominent militaristic religious orders in Aragon, which not everyone agreed with. The Basque elected a new King in Navarra, thus regaining their independence, and the nobility of Aragon raised Ramiro to the throne. As King, he received a papal dispensation to abdicate from his monastic vows in order to secure his succession and legitimacy. This is Petronilla's father, who would marry Agnes of Aquitaine and then have their only child. Her marriage was a very important future of Aragon as it would decide, literally, their future. A marriage to Castille would cause a union that the nobility did not want, and so instead, Petronilla was betrothed to the the Count of Barcelona. This would seal their future after her abdication as Alfonso II ascended to the throne in 1164, the first ruling monarch of Aragon from the House of Barcelona.

Brief RP paragraph to get a feel for how well you can RP said nation: Just over a decade Petronilla has held onto the throne with her husband, Ramon Berenguer IV, who performs most of the ruling and keeps the nation in check with his support from the nobles who backed his marriage to the future Queen. For years Aragon has been submissive to Castille in the crusades against the Moors, but no longer. This is Aragon's time, and with its much needed access to the sea secured for the Crown, this is a new found height of power for the Kingdom of Aragon. To look to Provence, to Sicily and to Navarra; it must all be theirs.

The Mediterranean will soon be painted the Red & Yellow of the Catalans, and to the South in Andalusa, cry the green-hatted Moors who have harassed the Iberians for decades. One last crusade. One last crusade for a Crown.

Brief Rp paragraph to get a feel for how well you can rp said nation: King William I of Sicily was worried. Early in the year, he had lost his African holdings, and therefore his title and claim to the Empire of Africa. But that wasn't the most troubling. His Nobles were plotting against him. The King sighed. There was no rest for a King. His one solace was that he commanded the loyalty and respect of the people. He knew that should they murder or depose him, he can get his army to win back the Kingdom. Or so he hoped. After all, there are some who called him 'the wicked'. The King knew he had to act, before it was to late. Hopefully Chancellor Maio was free to talk. He will know what to do.
