At the front of the Conclave of Karatatua, in front of the closed, heavy iron gate lies a body. The horribly maimed body, impaled on a spike, has been horribly mutilated. Most noticeably of all wounds is the fact the body's head has been crushed, parts of the man's skull still remaining, though not much. Several bones are broken, and ritualistic carvings have been burned into the flesh.

A letter, attached to the bloody spike, reads as such:

To the denizens of Vailor

We, the Kharajyr, born of our Muuna, beloved Metztli, have been attacked by this man. One of our own children, nearly kidnapped and murdered a mere kitten of five years, unprovoked. This poor fool has paid in blood for his sin.

To all those who have grudges, misgivings, or poor feelings towards the children of Metztli: We mean no harm. We know we are targets of many different people. While we wish to change this, such a thing takes time. During that time, we ask something simple.

We attempt to live our lives in peace with others. Despite what many think, the Kharajyr are not simple, mindless beasts. We are a proud people, and are more than willing to co-exist with the other races of Vailor.

Though let those who wish us harm be warned. Our patience, our trust, and our compassion only go so far. Let all who wish harm unto the children of Metztli know that this will be your fate. Those that harm our kin, our allies, our friends, and our family, will be hunted and killed with extreme prejudice. Mercy will not be shown.

Rajiya hears word of what the Kharajyr had done to the man she saw attempting to kidnap the kitten the other day and shakes her head. If only he had not attempted to do such a stupid thing, especially in broad daylight along a busy road, for the sake of minas.

What a fool.

"I have forgotten my promise to end them." A lone figure murmurs, briefly gazing over the note.
