Pav33 101 Share Posted February 8, 2016 -=+(x) THE KHRON AKVEL (x)+=- -------------------------------------------- If you've conquered these caves, you can conquer the world! -Marshall Dunlan to Lord Belegar of the Ekren The Khron Akvel, or Iron Guard, is a guard force dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Gray Hills. It was formed by its first and current Grandmarshall Dunlan "Emberborn". The guard was formed after it was realized that the Orenian military forces just weren't interested in guarding the remote mountain hold. Dunlan, a true believer in the anti-Urguan revolt, persuaded Lord Belegar to construct a small hole near the hold's center, which now serves as a barracks. Most citizens of the Gray Hills are encouraged to join the Khron Akvel, but this is not forced onto them, as the Gray Hills are a refuge to escape the tyranny of Urguan. Leadership and Ranks Grandmarshall One of the most powerful figure in the army, second only to the Lord himself. He is often apart of the Lord's inner circle, holding influence in the Gray Hills. He is often chosen from the Hill's top soldiers who have served sometimes well over 10 years. King's Guard Usually there are only 2 King's Guards at a time, sometimes one of them being the Grandmarshall himself. He is apart of the Lord's personal retinue, and often will take his own life to save his liege's. Warlord Only 3 will exist at anytime, and the army seems far away from implementing this unit, as the population of the hills is scarce. Soldier The backbone of the army these foot troops wield either a sword or axe, and are often seen charging first in battle. Unblooded A rookie soldier, he is usually promoted after either 2 years of service or until hes fought in one battle.
