shortchangehero 4217 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Here's a short clip of 1.9 sword'n'shield combat! Here's a short clip of 1.9 war axe combat! Here's a short clip of 1.9 war longbow! -=- I honestly really enjoy the new combat update, it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be! Yes, it does remove old skill-based mechanics like combos but it adds in a bunch of new aspects like timing and strafing to replace it! What do you guys think of the new combat? Post below!

shortchangehero 4217 Author Share Posted March 1, 2016 I don't know why everyone is so against the attack cool down, I think it's pretty cool! Different types of weapons have different attack speed ratios, damage ratios and so on! I personally think LoTC should keep the speed ratios because; ~ Yes, it does make PvP a bit easier but this only means a larger variety of players will be able to PvP and enjoy it! ~ It takes a whole new kind of skill to be able to master the new weapon speed ratios and how to use each weapon's speed to it's full potential! Anyone can spam click that mouse, but can anyone keep a constant tempo for max damage potential? ~ Instead of spam clicking your hits you need to time and aim your shots! If you miss an attack for example, you're open for a counter attack as just one of many examples! ~ A handful of new skills PvPers will have to learn; strafing ( It's not as easy as it looks ;) ), timing ( Gotta time your hits now, especially with shields and miss potential ) and accuracy ( You miss, you're open for attack )! ~ Slows down PvP drawing it out longer, adding in more time for strategy and making the experience more enjoyable! -=- I can understand why some PvPers are mad about this, I can relate! We spent so much timing mastering combos and learning the old PvP mechanics. With the new update, most of that skill is thrown out the window. But that isn't necessary a bad thing, now there's a whole new update of PvP for us to re-master! Before you bash on it, I strongly suggest you give this update a go :D

The damage output for each weapon could be changed to fit Lord of the Craft, we already have custom damaged and quality weapons then regular vanilla! If you honestly think there's no skill in this PvP, why don't you get on and try to give this new combat a go against me?

Sure, as long as you get on kohi and go a round with me, then decide which one is more fun and takes more skill.

darth sithlord 306 Share Posted March 1, 2016 WOW THIS LOOKS LIKE A ALOT OF FUN ACTUALLY !!!!!!!! xD! So less hardcore and player friendly! Finally i can relax and listen to some chillstep while I pvp! Hopefully this will discourage those PvP defaulters xD! Everyone that enjoys the PvP in 1.8 should just move onto different games like roblox or reign of kings! Minecraft is meant for building and not for hitting minecraft player men with a sword! Bring back our mellow c418 music and building farms please! + omg lotc lag + this.... warclaims will take 5 days no joke

Lotoke 25 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I don't know why everyone is hating this update. The pvp is more tactical, and no longer about who can spam click the fastest, but who can time their attacks the best. The length of pvp battles have increased by this, and tbh, it's more realistic. Axes are not more powerful then swords, they are about the same because they are slower.
Flapman 625 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Yeah, wasn't everyone complaining the other day that pvp lasted only half a second. Looks much more realistic (as far as minecraft pvp goes lmao), haven't tried it yet, but from what I can see and hear I think I'll like it.
AGP 3169 Share Posted March 1, 2016 It looks more complex but its a lot less fun. Fights take forever and basically all boil down to who is better at timing their jumps. Also, anyone who says it's "more realistic" should pick up a sword and try fighting before they make such claims.
