I went by the videos, and he was flying all around, but it might have been knockback enchant. Though I don't know how knockback works very well, I don't deal much with it.

Removed that in the new potion. YOu can't jump anymore. You can still 'sprint jump' but because you spend so little time in the air, you don't go anything fast.

Well, allow me to enlighten you (sorry if that came off cocky or rude but I'm really frustrated with 0 knockback pvp). When you hit someone in minecraft, they get knocked back. Depending on how fast they are going, it goes further and further back. Knockback enchantments raise this by 3 blocks per level (Vanilla minecraft caps at level 2). In LotC however someone wearing full iron armor is not only slower, meaning they take less knockback but they also have passive knockback resistance. What this does is remove all factor of skill/comboing/strafing from pvp and instead turn it into a rockem sockem robots bout with whoever has the better gear/buff. With knockback weapons this is slightly remedied and some people occasionally take knockback but its never greater than 2 blocks. There is also a bug going around that (I think at least this is the cause of it) some people on human personas are recieving the dwarf passive "Stubborn" and they are taking literally NO knockback, even without armor on. Some people who have had this bug include myself, marcitos, altiak, bungo and dpmagician. I hope you learn something from this wall of text because pvp is in such a horrible spot and just removing the knockback resistance and slowness would greatly improve on it.

For now, the potion recipe has been changed to be far less powerful. Resist was lowered to 2, slowness raised to 3, jump heigh lowered to 0 (can't sprint jump, something that I though I made happen in the last potion).

 

Tomorow I'll try and get an army or something to test it, and if it's bad, I'll lower it more to resist 1 (something which I think will make the potion useless) or add another disavantage. For now, I need sleep.

nononono MINING FATIGUE DOESNT REDUCE DPS

 

Mining fatigue visually slows down your swing speed but you still can damage people even when you're on 'cooldown' it literally makes no difference to pvp.

In 1.9 it'll work like that, in 1.8 it doesn't do anything as HB said. In 1.9 having mining fatigue makes your swing recovery speed drop, which I think will be a perfect thing to add in stoneskin, but in 1.8 (now) I don't have that available.

Or we just remove it entirely.. Stone skin does nothing to benefit pvp or the server and at this point it's only here so alchemists can circle jerk over how much stronger they are over the average player.

Totally this, just for grinding alchemists.


Remove this shenanigans, I thought potions were not supposed to be combat oriented to begin with or am I out of the loop here @Techteam
