What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of becoming your character. When you have involvement in your own character growth and progression that is when it is considered roleplay. You become your character in other words.

What is metagaming?: When you hear something outside of the roleplay world and instantly install that knowledge onto your ingame character when he clearly isn't knowledgable on the topic at hand anyways.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Dimitrius would leap forward, grabbing the man's neck and crushing it instantly, ending his life, and stealing all of his gold with his slick hands. That is power-emoting/god-moding. Whenever you do something without the other player's consent.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Korfax Turner, was born to a middle class family of blacksmiths in the city of Felsen (Capital of the Holy Oren Empire). Growing up Korfax was taught the family trade and began work within the smithery. Having no time in the world to adventure and socialize with the other children that were running about, Korfax began to hate his family trade and became inspired by a traveling mercenary to become a great swordsman. Having become the age of 18, Korfax was ready to set out on an adventure of his own, ignoring his father's warnings of the dangers of the outside world he insisted that he should go and experience life. Having seen that Korfax had his mind made up, his father prepared a masterpiece of a sword for Korfax for him to take on his journey.

Having heard stories of war and glorification as a kid, Korfax dreamed to have the glory of war himself. Upon hearing the news of an enclosing war against the Dwarves, he found himself quite eager to join the front lines. However, he was extremely disappointed to find out that you can't jump straight into conflict when you join the armies of Oren.

A couple of years later Korfax had managed to find himself in the ranks of the Orenian Empire army. Upon discovering that the military life was not for him, having a desperate want for more freedoms, Korfax attempted to find a way to go AWOL. In the year of 1538 when the Orenian Empire won a crushing victory against the Urguan forces, Korfax decided this was the time that he would step out of the military life and seek a new life of adventure and glory.

 

Twelve years have passed since Korfax first set off on his journey. Having wasted his savings on food and drinks in local taverns, Korfax had nothing on his but his beloved father's sword. Korfax having become poor in his travels decided to sell the blade to a shifty eyed salesman, but at the last second cut the deal off. The man not liking having been cut off of his deal set off at night to find Korfax and steal his beloved blade. Korfax awoke the next morning enraged and ashamed at having the blade stolen from him. At the age of 42 Korfax still searches for his beloved blade, his one and only family heirloom.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Korfax can be a bit sarcastic at times. He has a hard time fully trusting people after the events of his past, however he enjoys the company of a jolly party at a tavern. Korfax loves a good laugh and is often quite humorous. He hates thieves and bandits alike, and has sworn to protect and aid anyone in danger.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Korfax aspires to be a great swordsman, and a protector of the people.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Korfax is really, really good at sarcasm. He is quite decent at swordsmanship, always room for improvement however.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Women is his weakness. Korfax doesn't think things through fully before jumping into conflict. Suffering from lack of food will cause Korfax to shut down completely and lose his fighting ability.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Korfax stands at 6'2". Korfax takes the appearance of a young man, being clean shaven and his face clear of scars. His hair color is a blonde and silver mix. Balayage. His eyes a light blue, and he would be rather muscular having been a blacksmith and a seasoned swordsman.
