Proclamation of Pruvia, 1562

An imperial proclamation is distributed throughout the realm on the 7th of the Sun's Smile 1562.

We hereby call to question the claimed revelations of High Pontiff Daniel III. His feverish attempts to dismantle Canonist traditions have left chaos in his wake and forced the hand of the imperial body. We summon all clergy of the realm to the chambers of St. Lothar's cathedral to minister an earnest and thorough Synodic vote to determine a legitimate High Pontiff. The empire fails to recognize the Cardinal Georgiy as High Pontiff due to the flawed nature of his ascension though it does not seek to lambast him and welcomes him to such proceedings. As with the precedent established in the wake of Caesaropapism and the establishment of Canonist principle of Daniel I's election, we call upon all men of the Church to the annals of St. Lothar's Cathedral to deliberate a High Pontiff amongst themselves in this case of an incapacitated and disputed Synod. Once one is declared, we would summon him and his peers to convene in clerical council, to ensure such a calamity does not befall us again.

IN NOMINE DEI,

His Imperial Majesty John II Sigismund of the House of Horen, by the Grace of GOD, Holy Orenian Emperor and rightful Emperor of Aeldin, forever August, Apostolic King in Oren, of Vandoria, Kaedrin, Ruska, Haense, Renatus and Salvus, Defender of the Faith, Duke of the Crownlands, Avar and Cascadia, Count of Pruvia, Alamar, Thesmer, and Thelen, Sovereign of Humanity, Suzerain of the Elves and Protector of the Dominion of Malin, etcetera.
