Notice on Unchivalric misconduct

TO the Militias, Knighthood, and general combatants of the Orenian Empire,

 

Although I am indeed a Minor official of the crown, it is in a most unpleasant mood that I feel compelled to write such a notice to all combatants under the purple. Recently; I came across a woman who had been severely abused by our own troops whence she was captured; as she was part of a family on the opposing side.

 

Now, not only was this woman a non-combatant, but she is, rather clearly, a woman! It is hard to keep up a moral superiority to the rebel forces when our own galavant about, capturing, abusing, and holding hostage the daughters and wives of our enemies! Although I have little authority in this matter; it would be a fair reminder that such targets such as peasants, women, and non-fighting nobility are not to be abused in war, as it reflects very poorly on us during, and after the war, and breeds resentment not only among the direct victim, but the victims relations and friends.
