As the guards of Sutica return to their posts upon sunrise, they find that they no longer hold any prisoners in their cells. Their most valued captive, Seraphina Warlai, is nowhere to be found and the lock to her cell has been smashed from the inside, now resembling a crumple of tin. The only thing left behind is a small note:

"I needed to leave paradise. It became too good to be true. Farewell, my sweet sentinel."

Later, after a lengthy search of the Palace grounds, they find a single shoe sitting on a rock outreaching over the sea. A woman's shoe, black, and perhaps the size that Seraphina may have worn. The guards would never know.

Lilyana and the guards come to the jail cell in the early morning to see the door and cell to be "crumpled like tinfoil".

"My word! What brutality! Silv'ar said she received word that charges were being dropped and we were to see such information was sent to Mylas.....but this! This now only proves her lack of innocence! And the strength needed to do this!? A demon must be in her mind and body!"

Lily would be given the note. As she scans the words, her eyes narrow.

Guards would spread throughout the isles; blocking off the port as her home and known places are searched for her being.

The report of a shoe resembling one that Seraphina may have been wearing is collected and brought to Gus's Shoe Shop for further inspection on its owner.

When reports from the ferry men return empty, iit is decided that Seraphina had committed the selfish and most guilty of acts, suicide, by leaping from the cliffs.

Avos would've caught a distant 'splash' during his night fishing drip, to which his attention would have been diverted... For a time; Until taking note of the sea turtle fellating his skeletal leg like some form of coral - the green bastard seeming to have misinterpreted his wellingtons that gingerly hung submerged as sea sponge. The act resulted in quite the interesting battle that  came to conclude with a fresh bowl of turtle stew left for the needy in the city centre, the Lich responsible completely oblivious to reality of the situation he might've witnessed.

As the cells are searched further, you find a strand of black hair outside the cell, along with a small piece of torn fabric. Upon closer inspection, you notice the coloring, a bit faded is...pink? orange? yellow? As Seraphina only wore grey, white, and black during her time in Sutica, the guards can only assume that more than one person was involved in this escape.

As the City General scales the cliffs to study the area of the shoe's placement, he points out that she couldn't have jumped down to such a level without hurting herself, and no ladder was recovered. As for the shoe's placement, the direction and spot upon which it was discovered seemed quite suspicious, as it now seemed more like the slipper was dropped from the balcony above, and not put there by a woman ready to end her life.
