Nobles of The Canon

 

 

"Deus Vult!"

 

 Since the beginning of time itself, the wishes of the Creator himself have constantly and continue to be fulfilled by the clergymen of the Canonist Faith. Though the Church has been tested with betrayals and greed, they have pulled through and persevered in order to continue the work of GOD. Now, with Sixtus IV seated on the Pontifical Throne, a new age is dawning over the horizon and the Creator's light is once again coming out from behind the clouds to shine down on his children. His ever-faithful student, a one Miss Rainelle Roger, along with the Pontiff himself, have decided that in order for the Church and the word of GOD to once again

fill the land and it's people with happiness and faithfulness,  the nobility must join together in order to nurture and aid such a movement to grow. Thus, a organization headed by his student has been created, in which truly faithful nobles will be assembled to discuss ways in which they can help in spreading the word of GOD throughout the lands of the Holy Orenian Empire and all other realms that follow the lord and his teachings.

 

Our Mission

The mission of the 'Nobles of the Canon' is that of the Church itself, to bring the faith and the word of GOD back into the hearts of both the nobles and the smallfolk alike. For those who wish to aid in such, councils will be held regularly to speak on things such as ideas to better spread the Canon to the people of Oren & how they might better their own lands, such as adding in a church or starting a poorhouse. Charity events would also be held, in order to add funds to the Church's constant desire to build such things as poorhouses, mentioned previously, and orphanages. These nobles, who deem themselves faithful to the the Church and the Creator, will work directly with his holiness, Sixtus IV, on these things & more in order to better the unity of the faith and the Holy Orenian Empire.

 

The Council

The main council of the 'Nobles of the Canon' will consist of every noblemen, from the lowest of knights to the highest of lords, and every man's voice will be heard during formal meetings and gatherings. Only two will hold titles within the council, the 'Head Chancellor' and the 'Speaker of the Nobles'. Under them is the 'House of Nobles' and then the 'House of Merchants', which will consist of lowborn men and women who have also proven themselves to ever faithful and true to our lord.

 

Head Chancellor - (Rainelle Roger)

The Head Chancellor is simply the head of the meetings, and the person who directly reports the ideas and progress of the noble's endeavors to the Pontiff himself. As Head Chancellor, the man or woman will need to record the meetings, and all that is said, in order to better the Pontiff's quest for a united Church and faith.

 

 Speaker of the Nobles - (Vacant)

 The Speaker of the Nobles is the man or woman who speaks for the nobles to both the Head Chancellor and the Pontiff, with any issues or concerns the nobles may meet with whilst spreading the holy faith throughout Oren and the other faithful lands. This man will be elected every 5 years by his fellow peers to such a position, as the voice of the faithful nobility should be represented by a man they deem most pious and loyal to GOD. This noble will wield the most power upon the council, having full access to the Pontiff and his wisdom and the ability to directly share the grievances of the other nobility with his high holiness.

 

House of Nobles

The House of Nobles consists of the nobles of Oren, both male and female, who  believe they wish to do GOD's work and aid in reuniting the people under the true faith and religion. These people will attend council meetings to discuss matters on which they might better improve their own lands and the lands of the Empire, to bring the Creator back into the hearts of it's people.

 

House of Merchants

The House of Merchants consists of lower burghers and smallfolk who have proven that they hold the Creator in their hearts and wish to aid in spreading his faith to the good canonist people of Oren. These men and women will also attend the council meetings, and give the higher council ideas of their own, and report on the progress of the Noble's ventures and overall mission.

 In the end, our mission is to bring the faithful under the holy Church once again, and guide those who have lost their way back under the Creator's holy light. If we wish to see prosperity and unity brought back to both the Church and Oren, the nobility and those with a voice must do what they can in order to aid the clergy in this endeavor, to bring peace to their homeland once more.
