Wrynn 1349 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Lockpicks have been around for some time now, and have undergone many changes. In Vailor lockpicks were originally sold at the Cloud Temple for 10 Mina, however through some changes they ended up being sold in an undisclosed location where they would then cost 50 Mina. This idea was put in place to reinforce the RP value of lockpicks and how they are used. The price was increased to make sure that people put their lockpicks to good use and wouldn't waste them with bad RP. The idea to have them in the 'Thieves Guild' was also to promote thievery rp, and integrate lockpicks into that RP. However that system didn't seem to work out so well, and ended up in lockpicks not being used at all. I've been asking around the community about how people would like to see lockpicks sold, and it seems that most of you guys would like a lockpick shop in each of the nation capitals, so that is what you'll be getting. From now on there is a lockpick shop hidden within each of the nation capitals which sells lockpicks at a price of 25 mina each. Have fun with your lockpick rp. As of right now there is no way to purchase custom heads like there was in Vailor, and before we start setting this up we'd like to hear how the community wants the process to go. Would you like it to continue the way it did before, where there is a section of cloud temple dedicated to it? Would you like there to be random locations over the map where you can purchase custom heads? Would you simply like there to be a thread which does the job of the market at CT? Please give us some feedback on how you'd like the system to be implemented so that we can make it tailored to what the community wants! Lastly, don't x-ray Have Fun!

arakrsptec 171 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Gotta change how lockpicks work too. No point in them as of now, unless you're breaking through a door.

Maybe make a steve head on the tinker's table and make a database of heads on the forums which you can exchange for. On the steve head, upon right clicking it, you'll get linked to the database, displaying all the possible heads, each one will have a code right below them. Get the code and ask for a GM to replace. This, in my opinion, is good because you don't need too much coding, but if you guys want to make an in game database to swap your heads for, go for it then. Maybe upon right clicking the steve head, you get some sort of Nexus grid where you can craft the desired head, with multiple pages and all?

The thing is with plugins, and anything really that needs coded is it needs to be done by the devs who are busy - especially at the moment with fixing all the bugs that came with 5.0. If we were to do things like this, it'll take much longer than if we were to do it in ways that didn't need coded.
HedgeHug 2049 Share Posted August 14, 2016 @Wrynny Utilize the already present shops at the isle of Malin for the custom heads!
_pr0fit 3084 Share Posted August 14, 2016 best way for heads imo is to have a forum thread with all of the available heads that you can purchase. Players can then go to the cloud temple or a shop in each capital city and purchase a ticket, with an npc at the shop with the link to the thread. Players will then modreq and tell the moderator which head they wish to be given in exchange for their ticket. this way would be very simple since all that would have to be implemented is GM shops with renamed pieces of paper and accompanied forum thread. Edit: Also make players drop heads upon death, or make heads like they were in the fringe, where when a player died a head item was placed on the ground, right clicking the head opened a gui with the players inventory when they died, the looter would then be able to break the head with their fist and be able to take it and re-place it where they wanted.
