Ancient-Book+(1)+v2.jpg

Notice to all Dwed of the Kingdom of Urguan. On this day a Blood Grudge has been created against Dangren Starbreaker and the Starbreaker Clan. Dangren was seen by multiple dwarves and citizens of the Kingdom disrespecting Clan Irongut and spreading false lies about the Clan. He was then challenged by Dwain of Clan Irongut to a Honor Duel to prove himself by the gods if his statements were true or false. Dangren Starbreaker refused and brought dishonor on himself and his clan. He refused in front of the citizens and dwarves of Urguan. Dwain Irongut declares a blood grudge and the only way this grudge may be forgiven is for Dangren to be killed. Only after Dangren is vanquished may Clan Starbreaker be forgiven and allowed respect once again. Till Dangren is killed Clan Irongut is in open hostility towards any who support Dangren Starbreaker.

"So it is written in blood may it be forgiven in blood."

Spoiler

Grand King Drynn Ireheart,

As you will have learned, I argued about the thieving of Clan Irongut.

Their king Uldar took our nation's treasury.

They have kept the Hammer of Urguan.

They have left the kingdom because they were not catered to.

Dwain has harassed a legionaire guardsmen.

And has now created a grudge against me, in his attempt to cover his clan's greed and traitorious nature.

I request that should the Irongut clan ever admit they have the Hammer of Urguan, that they are to give it back to the kingdom.

A letter is then sent to Grand King Drynn Ireheart,

If you would please set a court date for both sides to make an appeal to the court to declare if this is even valid. We do not need another Irongut 'uprising' of them leaving the nation again.

-Dangren Starbreaker

Hakon Ruric would send a raven to Dangren, offering him refuge  in Vilachia.

Grand King Drynn Ireheart does a double back flip, intercepting the dirty dreadlander's message.

After securing the raven and devouring it whole, Drynn returns to his original, actually relevant, task.

A notice is returned to both Dwain Irongut and Dangren Starbreaker, marked with the Royal Urguanian Seal.

"In honor of your blood grudge, it has come to my attention that there is a major fallacy in this grudge. Dwain of Irongut,it seems that an act of passion or desperation has infected your desire to issue a blood grudge against both Dangren Starbreaker and the clan he leads. The act of taking a Dwarf's life is a major act, and nothing to be taken lightly. As such, the terms that his blood grudge has been declared under do not justify, the in the eyes of the Grand King, the purposeful dismissal of a Dwed's life. I implore you to seek re-approval with a new ending result for your grudge, one that does not involve the death of a fellow Dwed.

Grand King Drynn Ireheart, son of Dreek Ireheart."

Dwain Irongut rumbles loudly in the clan hall of the Irongut upon reading the message from the king of urguan. He takes hours till he can calmly write a letter back to the king.

"The facts are Grand King this dwarf spread false lies and when challenged to honor duel in the face of the gods and the good dwed of the city he refused. The honor less dwarf deserves nothing less then death due to his own actions and slandering of a Noble clan who has supported your reign fully with respect, money, and resources. I have no ill towards his small clan as they have proved honor bound. How should one be held accountable for slandering and being a coward ? Oh grand king I'll let you decide the fate of the coward Dangren Starbreaker. Let it be known."

The letter is written in blood and with much haste and anger. The fact of the matter is grudges having to be approved goes beyond the mind of Dwain as the old days grudges were made and completed by any day dwarf who felt wronged.

Drynn Ireheart sits down to pen a response, after having many a day to think up a proper statement.

The actions of Dangren Starbreaker cause concern within the minds of those who govern the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, yet it is believed that not all of his claims are baseless.

The 'lies and slander' surrounding the hammer of Urguan, a Kingdom artifact, are up for debate amongst the prevailing minds of all Dwed. It has been decided that, in regards to this topic alone, there shall either be a trial before the Court of the Mountains, or in Private between the Grand King and Dwain Irongut, in order to decide on the validity of this claim.

However, the action of refusing an honor duel reflects poorly on both Dangren Starbreaker and his Clan. While there are no formal punishments for ref honor duel in the Articles of Urguan, it has been ruled that Dangren of Starbreaker shall lose the ability to partake in the honorable actions of the Grand Kingdom for the following 7 stone days. This shall include the acts of partaking in the Senate or any political actions or selling goods within the city.

Dangren wonders why he is punished for speaking his truthful mind, and refused an honor duel because the claims of the honor duel were baseless. "W'y t'e **** es t'is even ah t'ing? Ask aneh dwarf ef w'ut oi said was false. Yeulf took runesmithen frum meh clan, Dwain 'as t'e 'ammer ov Urguan, Grungron 'ad t'e kingdom relics for most ov 'is existance, Kardel 'ad meh 'elmet ov Gotrek. 'ow es et wrong tuh say t'at? Et es t'e truth. Und fer meh tuh not wunt tuh foight Dwain und shed dwedmar blood because oi em roight causes meh tuh beh punished?! T'is es w'y dwedmar leave t'e nation! Because t'eir own fucken government does not protect t'em! Punished fer 'aven 'onor above bloodshed!"

Dwain scoffs at the punishment.

"It's called a honor duel for a reason. You defaced my honor with a baseless claim. I challenged you to prove it in the face of the godsmoke and you refused, spitting in the face of them and our ancestors. You spread lies ove jealousy and atred with nae pruuf, darkskin. Don't blame yer betters for the pitiful excuse ove clan. "
