The World Obelisks

The word "monument" is a concept that me, a great orc, has pulled from nothing - all out of my observations and sights. This sketch has no base, but simply, it made its own base and built upon itself. I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that this parchment is absolutely true. I do not walk with a given hand to the absolute truth, and only future shall tell us what's ahead.

But, nonetheless, I've decided to write on this paper my thoughts and conclusions, if you happen to also know of a possibility, send a bird and hope it can find me - for I am not known. Or simply place a paper on the bottom of this, one or two dumb goblins will come to pick your thinking and conclusion up.

-=-=-=-

A world monument is a structure of no specific form - great and ancient, that was on these lands before we all have arrived. My exploration has given me the location of two world pillars albeit I cannot point out with exact certainity where they can be found at, but, let me give you a few characteristics:

A heavy pressure is felt on the air when approaching one of these, something of greatness, power. . . you can feel it!

"The one whom warned us" could probably know of these, extensive linking can be made, taking us to bringing all the dots together, these structures might have a warding purpouse. I shall present my arguments to why is so.

The great spirit that warned us of the challenge on these lands and has absolutely destroyed our ships said something of "not being ready yet"; and we haven't proven ourselves yet. Notice how there weren't any kind of people when we arrived, but, earlier on the lands we departed from, Vailor, I had found a map and a funky compass that ended up being of no use, but, it depicted three islands - and I call them the promised islands, which were in an alignment much akin to these lands, Axios (But with little detail. Lacks the island on the middle), which a connection can be made from here to all way back to Aegis if we are to count the portals and the boats we took. There's also The Rift - the large hole of the endless void on one of the edges of the island. For me, its a mistery of why it exists, but if you happen to know, I beg you to tell me - for I am a seeker of the truth, and the truth in my eyes I shall relay.

The rift was once seem on the land where we visited the place of great buildings atop floating islands, really close. Also do not forget the quartz portal with weird words and inscriptions that used to take us there. Maybe all of these can be linked with elves? And if yes, did the elves build these monuments? For what purpouse? In my eyes, they serve as a ward - as a ward to protect us from something, something that we do not know yet. If this peculiar architecture is to somehow perish, it might truly be our end, or we might even be forced to flee to different lands, after all, aren't we all used to do this? Flee like nourished sewer rats from the butcher that just stole his food.

Everything on these lands seems so call, but some stuff inquires me: ruins. Ruins point to the existance of ancient people on these lands. How weren't they here when we arrived? Why do they seem so old, abandoned? Would the primitives be on a certain place? Who made the pillars? Questions, questions, questions. Questions upon questions rests on us all. Keep in mind this is educative writing, so do not go to try to break one of the monuments (not ruins). I've seen two ologs try to break one and they got repelled away by a mysterious force. It's a ward that we are not meant to know how to break, but instead, reinforce.

I've found only two of these monuments so far, but they are different, still, I have a feeling that they transpire the same feeling. They are also quite noisy - if such helps to identify them.

An observation to notice is that I doubt that the abyss could be linked to the rift to a certain extent, nor the other evils that have walked upon other lands, such as Azdromoth and Setherien, but, something far more different, and maybe, far more stronger - so strong that it possibly killed a whole kin even with protective wards.

. . .

With these lasts words, I finish this parchment for now, but it might be updated if you try to collaborate with your view.

Nemir stopped in her tracks upon spotting the message written down.  She sauntered up to it, and looked over the writings with weary eyes.

"Mmm.." Her hand slid into her pack, retrieving a small piece of charcoal and a folded up slip of paper.  With these she wrote down a response to leave pinned beneath the original message.

"I've been trying to study these peculiar obelisks as well.  I've explored nearly all of Axios and I managed to find all ten of them.  I've got sketches and descriptions of their appearances written down and with the help of a few friends we've marked their locations on a map, they don't seem to form any symbols...

But you've mentioned that you believe these obelisks could be related to the elves?  I've got a small theory of them being connected to these, or at least having some sort of knowledge of them.  As I was searching for the obelisks, or just enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Axios, I've come across three murals.  Each depicts elves bowing to a white orb in the sky.  Alright, so the theo-"

The small slip wasn't large enough for the entire message.  There is no signature left behind.

Erin glances over the message. "Guess there'r more than two." He'd say his eyes suddenly widening as he notices the map "This'll help me finding em all!"

Erin would grab his journal flipping trough the pages. he would then add small markings to a small roughly drawn map of Axios.

Enedor reads over the messages left behind , nodding in approval as he produces a small book, noting a few things down.

"Your words are wise, I've considered many of your statements before, with no clear answer. I cannot say much more about the structures then yourself, other then the fact that each one seems to bare characteristics of the environment  they sit in. Are they beckons of previous civilisation? -The message ends suddenly, no signature is given.
