The Fjarriauga :: Self Moderation

Due to the significant inactivity revolving around Frost Witches and the the lack of capability to moderate the already existing Frost Witches, this sect of lore will see to it that there’s a plausible way to moderate Witches whilst sticking to the fundamental lore.

Recent times have been hard on magical ilk, especially those who recede into the pits of the abyss, some, the light of their deity whereas those who feed upon the flesh of the living - the fabled Frost Witch of ol’ - live on, however, they too pertain the struggles of any other albeit is their magical prowess which has allowed them to live on thus far, with their illusionary disguises often keeping them from harm’s way; they had no viable way to actively feed and retain their sanity. With this, the Witches became frantic in their desperate attempt to sate their hunger and the ability for a Mother to control, let alone manipulate their daughters became more difficult with each passing season; their golden age had ended and thus came the dawn of man, their plight was coming to an end. With the Witches scattered and ultimately casting their shedding humanity aside to delve into their feral side, a lone Mother had devised a plan to reunite with their former golden kin; a way, to moderate her ilk.

In the golden age of the Witches a lone mother in a land far from ours suffered from a brood too large to control that frantically slaughtered villagers in dozens as they sought to sate their undesirable hunger for flesh; Fi’nitayrna.The eldritch Mother derived from the original curse akin to the very first, except, Fi’nitayrna was the very second witch to be born and instead of succumbing to the curse she sought to bend the curse to her will - albeit was evidently impossible - she later came to the realisation that knowledge, was power, and power, can imbue fear into the hearts of others; as she made her way in the realm roughly a hundred years later she had forged a successful brood that derived from the aged mountains of ol’ and yonder, a land that was soon depicted to be Vailor; therein lies an eldritch set of ruins she once resided by, storing veins of thanium and other rich assortments. Her brood was numbered albeit pertained the same ilk that resided upon the lands, elven. With the winter-tribesmen often skulking around the mountainous regions in their various hunts therein lies the food -- however, Fi’nitayrna’s brood became.. unreasonable. They doubted the power of their Mistress who remained stoic in her state as she delved into books with her daughters bringing her the food of the men they slaughtered; they sought to rebel against the Mother that bestowed unto them their eldritch power. Three, out of twelve Witches drew arms against the Mother in her studies to which the three were detained by the remainder of the loyal Witches with ease; Fi’nitayna’s studies had come to its climax as she reached her conclusion:

With knowledge, comes power.

With power, comes sacrifice.

With sacrifice, her results proved right.

It took three weeks of consistent manipulation with the three desolate Witches that once sought to rebel against the elfess with two dead, slaughtered via some unknown means albeit was surely obtained via her attempts to bend the curse; the third came a miracle. To forge an art, she had to sacrifice more than the daughters of her brood as her life force sluggishly seeped away with each failed attempt upon the final Witch who became naught but a maggot compared to her once volatile self; a whimpering insect that didn’t deserve the time she was given, however, Fi’nitayrna’s studies proved steady:

From the curse afflicting the soul came a bridge that outsourced into two separate bridges. One that afflicted the physical body and the other that granted their ability to manipulate the positives to the curse -- a blockade had to be forged.

The rune of Khaz’vrashi is a crimson seal that aids in effectively slotting a blockage in the main pipeline, unable to be carved off via average means and only viable by a Frost Mother versed in the art; (insert name of art) in Fi’tayrna’s studies came to an end, she hadn’t disclosed the rune, only a single part of it; it wasn’t until [Group in Event] had managed to come across the lair where the Mother lay dead and the witch bound by chains, having consumed a partial sect of her abdomen and ultimately killing herself in her state of madness. [In his love for another Frost Mother the partial Blood Mage decided to spend a dozen days and nights revising the rune, and eventually, manipulating it into forming a prototype;]  The completed rune, capable of aiding the Frost Mother in blocking the Witch’s prowess in their art without subsequently killing herself in the process. Fi’tayrna, lacking life, her prowess lived on in the form of an art capable of moderating Frost Witches alike; all she desired, was the ability to bend the curse.

The seal works once the Mother has engraved a crimson seal akin to the Khaz’vrashi unto the Witches back right between the shoulderblades -- to the exact line, and detail. Their palm planted to the center of the seal and wherein the Shade corrupts the aura of others, festering it with their ill blight the Mother literally absorbs the cursed aura bound to the Witch which initiates a spark in their the pipeline to the curse, causing it to falter, and pause all together with an eldritch veil preventing the blockage from uprooting without the manifestation being unblocked via the Mother, which in turn sparks the curse once more, shattering the blockade and subsequently having the ethereal seal fade.

Red Lines: During the time in which a witch’s magic is sealed, they may not manipulate nor summon ice or snow. They may use one, simple disguise, the disguise is physically taxing for them to use, and must be exactly the same to their form before they were cursed. They may not sense another Frost Witch or Mother in disguise. If a mother seals a witch’s magic and leaves the server or goes afk, (/seen offline for more than 2 weeks) the mark will fade automatically. If the Witch Mother who uses the mark PKs, the mark will fade.
