What type of character is needed?

Working through the application process currently, and am constructing a character.

 

I'm unaware of the climate of the server in terms of what types of characters are oversaturated, and what types of characters there should be more of. I'm asking this because I'm naturally a bit of a contrarian and would prefer to be a type of character that is less common for new characters to assume.

 

I'm not looking for suggestions for a special snowflake type of character, just an area where there really should be characters of a type and there are not, if you understand what I mean.

Man, in LotC, the imense amount of different characters in the Server is so diverse that we've reached the point we even have CLOWNS.

That means, be creative! Make the cherecter you desire for! If it needs its tweaks, then add those tweaks!

Unfortunately this is what 90% of new players think and earn themselves the brand "Special snowflake". I'd just make a basic character and explore the different groups on the server so you can find one which interests you.

If you'd like a suggestion for a race there aren't an abundance of players in, I'd say the halfings, khas, orcs, or dwarves. The great majority or our applicants are made up of human and elf personas. Every group has different types of roleplay though. Apply for whichever you find the most interesting, and would be the most comfortable immersing yourself into. Though of course if you end up not caring for the character you apply as, you can simply make a different character after being white-listed. Personally, I applied as a Mali'ker (dark elf) and ended up making a completely different character almost immediately when I found out that I enjoyed Mali'ame (wood elf) RP more.

As for the "type" of character you want yours to be, we have a wide array of different personalities within personas on our server. Most of them start off one way and are shaped differently throughout various RP situations. Again, whatever you feel content in doing will work.

We are settling in a new city for the Orcs, we could definitely use more people to role-play and add onto our activity. The new city should bring in a lot more Orcs, Goblins, or Ologs.
