Illion's New Goal

Norman Osborn

Recommended Posts

I main a high elven wizard named Illion Everion. He's quite neat, he's pretty balanced, has been developed, is quite OP with his magic, has a gf.

I just don't know what to do with him from there.

I'm not sure how to go with this now that Illion's life is relatively quiet. Should I try to obtain more arcane magic? Perhaps essentially open up a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, open up a small and neat wizardry shop, try some father rp with Illion's gf? I personally need some suggestions before playing Illion becomes stagnant.

Have him take up a fun hobby like pottery or have him go on an adventure and write a book about his journey

The adventure part seems quite neat, I might try that out. It's just that I'm curious on how one would acquire an adventure. I'm not sure how the process of acquiring a cool event works.

You don't need an event, just RP him travelling to the Westerlands and staying with them for a few months at a time or maybe travel to the orcs and observe their brutish culture from a distance or even travel to the halflings and observe their top secret pipeweed growing techniques. :)

he could always venture to the druid mother grove, even if they aren't the biggest fan of magic users. but a few hang around, and there's usually always some rp going on. i must warn you the memes are spicy tho.

end up like jester.

shameless self promo. :)

i don't have an example sadly but try to think up fun ways to incite some rp. a school sounds fun but running one successfully is incredibly hard, probably impossible right now

I suppose, but it's just that how would one be able to siphon some spice or adventure out of it? I don't mean to be picky in an adventure, I'd just like to know how to make a casual adventure such as that more enjoyable.

Also, if I was aiming for a more settled position in lotc, might you have any suggestions? I personally like the idea of either a magic professor of an academy or a shop clerk in some wizardry store.

Live among the orcs, and educate people on our advanced and interesting culture, so that people don't just view us as simple brutes. We're much more than that! I think it'd be neat to have like, a series of RP posts as the journal of a guest in the orcish kingdom.

Well in my experience the best adventure rp comes from fairly simple stuff. Like if your an orc and you want to feed a cub you and some other orcs could go on a hunt and then you can be hunting boars when you stumble across a human thief or something. Or if you start off talking to halflings about pipeweed and you go with them to find new types of soil to grow things in and you stumble across a hellish landscape and you have to try to keep all the curious wee folk safe. Events are great but if you rely on them to create all of your best RP you'll have a bad time on LotC.

Fair point, I actually remember when I did this sort of roleplay and it was /very/ enjoyable. My appreciations for the statement.

I hear that a magic school is opening up soon, and they will probably need teachers.
