Legoboy7984 3155 Share Posted February 26, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHCdCbTxypU 11th of the Grand Harvest, 1600 “This will make a fine addition to my collection..” - Fiske Vanir, inspecting Alexander Staunton’s sword after the Battle of Curon Forest, 1561 A brisk wind flew through the camp, sending a shiver through those assembled within the palisade. The men had been entrenched around the fortress of Houndsden for weeks; away from the warmth of home, men from across the North rallied into the fray armed with nothing but their fervent fortitude and ardent will to dispense justice. A few men had been wary about marching to war, many remembering the losses of the Coalition War. However, as the Northern levies pressed onwards and caught sight of the Houndsden Keep, only one thing came to mind: victory. Immediately, the men rushed to the trebuchets, hastily mounting the trough with projectiles. Shouts of men and the crashing of boulders into the Keep were all that could be heard for miles; entire sections of the castle would crumble to the ground with each hit. Carnatian heavy horse, under the command of Andrei Kovachev, kept constant watch of the Keep, directing the artillery attacks to the most vulnerable portions of the fortress. As a barrage of Northern trebuchet offenses bombarded Houndsden, the sight of mighty walls and towers, built in vain, lay wasted into rubble and debris. At the beckoning of Rory Othaman’s command, the Holy Order valiantly rushed to the scene, relentlessly pushing the siege towers forward in advance toward the enemy keep. With the structure of Houndsden all but collapsing under the bloated weight of its defenses, the infantry inundated the frontlines, storming the remnants of the castle with fury in their hearts. A bloody brawl ensued in the courtyard of the castle, the Haeseni swiftly overwhelming the outnumbered defenders. Soon enough, a chorus of triumphant shouts erupted from the rubble; the men of the North stood victorious. As the Royal forces broke camp and began the long trek back to their homesteads, the sorrowful baying of hounds heralded their departure as the once famed kennels of House Brawm mourned the loss of their traitorous masters.
