The Godsmen of vengeance foreswore they would see the heretical blood of those who had condemned their late High Pontiff, Owyn II, to an unwarranted death. When the Staunton soldiers aligned with the necrotic maws of an Undead to slay the innocent man, who had only sought the safety of his people. The peaceful Mardon envoy attacked by the Staunton soldiers in their dishonourable fray.

 

The harbingers dawned once more, two days had passed since the previous raid upon the Kingdom of Courland, justice for their fallen High Pontiff, however, Courland was ready for conflict, with soldiers lining the streets, and armaments adorned. Albeit it didn’t deter Arthur Jrent and his brigand of loyal soldiers, mounted on horseback for the second time. As soon as the envoy dawned upon the Kingdom, the soldiers came flooding forth, and once more, conflict arose.

 

The ominous, all too familiar sound of steel clashing emerged from yonder the wall, enticing peasant and nobility alike to bear witness, a massacre, throats slit, and soldiers perished, as Arthur Jrent and his kinsmen drove through the Courlandic soldiers, spilling their blood, and guts. Woe and behold the Courlandic soldiers who face against the mighty Arthur Jrent, and yet, vengeance was yet to be had.

 

The Lord Regent of Courland retreated into the confines of his palace, while the Marshal’s kinsmen left the civilians be, maiming only those who had sought harm unto the peaceful envoy, and more prominently, slaughtered the late High Pontiff, Owyn II. Albeit just as before, the Marshal flooded the gatehouse, bellowing loud so all could hear his harrowing cries.

 

TO THE MEN WHO DARE FEIGN PEACE DISRUPT THEIR VERY CAUSE,

TO THE DISHONOURABLE, TO THE PEOPLE WHO MOCKED OUR MEN,

TO THE SOLDIERS OF COURLAND WHO SLAUGHTERED OWYN II,

 

VENGEANCE HAS BEEN HAD
