Hi!  I'm Frost Prince (YankeeSelkee on MC), a recently-accepted applicant here.  I'm excited to get started!

-I love cold weather

-I'm hoping to be a music performance major

Hey, thanks! :D  

My main is piano, but I'm also a fiddler + classical violinist, and I can sing a little.  I've also played flute in the past but I'm not very good C':

holy moly i've always wanted to learn violin, is it tricky to get started? i'm pretty good with string instruments but never played anything like the violin before..

 

and flute just takes practice! it's nice once you get the hang of it. i used to be in band in school, i played trombone, but i played my friends flute once in a while and i started to get the hang of it after a month or so.

If you're already alright with other string instruments, violin probably shouldn't be too bad!  I'm of the opinion that it's a little tougher to learn than most other "basic" instruments, but if you already have an ear for music, that helps a lot. 

Yeah, I admittedly have never practiced the flute as much as I should xD I'm hoping to come back to it in a few years if I have enough time-- I have to focus on piano for now though.
