Smaw 2376 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Ang-Raakh Grush'atîg-ulub Dagronk (Chek'Lur on his Wolf, leading the Lur bridage of the Ang-Raakh) The Ang-Raakh amassed at the gates of San-Raakh. Armed to the teeth and mounted on the most ferocious of their beasts, they prepared for their second attack on the Westerlands region. However, this time they would come further prepared. The walls that protected the palace above the grand citadel rumbled for a moment, before large pieces of rubble broke free, cascading around the city as a chaotic rain of rubble. Out from this destruction, a Scaddernak broke free, armed in full Aurum plating, it scrambled to the forefront of the brigade. As the Shamans set to work calming the enormous creature, the grunts would begin attaching the various totemic wards they were carrying onto its back. When all was prepared, the Ang-Raakh set sail, making their way further into the frozen wastelands. As they came across the first camp, hundreds of ghoulish creatures emerged from behind the walls, wailing and unrelenting in their advance. The Scaddernak was set forth upon them, cleaving with unparalleled fury the swathes of abominations that crept from the fortification. As the more powerful of the forces began to emerge, the Ang-Raakh rushed into battle, fighting alongside the armoured beast that glimmered beneath the looming moon. Thousands more creatures would emerge, a seemingly unstoppable force, and before long they were joined by screaming Tribals, who attempted to attack the army from all sides. (With armour burned from unholy fire, the Uruk would still not relent; for it was this fire that had shaped them so long ago) But the Orcs would not relent, for it was not in their nature. They were determined to finish the War that Krug had first started with the terrible Daemon, Iblees. And although perhaps not of the same iteration, these creatures were the same ilk of abomination nonetheless. The Uruk continued to advance, fatigue and weakness setting in as they fought wave after wave without pause. Without a shred of energy, it was left to their unwavering Bloodlust to drive them past the walls; and so they did. While the Shamans settled in the centre of the camp with the Scaddernak, the rest of the brigade ventured further in toward the bridge, attempting to break it so as to prevent the passage of any more abominations. The Ang-Raakh (and indeed Uruk kind) had been built to fight against these unholy creatures, and with their built experience the siege would not be a failure. The Army succeeded in destroying the bridge, finish off the straggling Undead that lingered upon the mountainside. Meanwhile, the Targoth, Gijaak'Raguk, set about activating the wards that had been placed upon the totems, ensuring that the Undead would no longer advance beyond this strategic point. (The Totemic Wards that would henceforth protect the region from Undead advance) With the pillars set into the ground beside the weakened Scaddernak, the Ang-Raakh rejoiced in Waaagh cries, proclaiming their success on retaking the first of many camps along the path to Bastion and beyond. Blundermore 2741 Share Posted May 7, 2017 The Wizard weary from spell casting would smile as the Totem pillars are risen upon the corpses of Several notiable undead Leaders and peons alike, breathing a sigh of relief, his staff arm heavy and his Mana spent upon the battle from casting so many spells he felt like he had been fighting for days. Leaning upon his stave he would servey the field filled with the corpses of Morghouls and Dreadknights alike knowing that this was merely small recompense for the loss of Bastion. As the Ward of the Shamanistic Totems spur into life he merely whispers to himself:"Hope Endures."
MangoArt 399 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Chek'Lur, tired and wounded from the battle, assists in making sure the Scaddernak wasn't going to die. He sighed, tossing his weapons aside as he fetched some fire and more medical equipment. It would be a long day, he thought, as he cauterized a few of the creature's wounds. Just a fact, y'know."
Perkins 167 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Gharzh'Raguk would go to rest down besides the hills after the battle was over, looking at the corpses of Undead and Orcs . Would make huge efforts to stand up due to the numerous spear and stabb wounds on him. Gharzh finally stands up and heads off with the other Uruks shouting in victory "PRAIZE DAH ZPIRITZ."
