Pendlemere-by-Cotton-Lake

In the days of halfling old, the gather ‘round the village center, telling stories of the days of old and the times of great. Recently, the halflings have no place of burrows-filled-with-mead, no place of stories-of-the-old, and no place of any gathering and good feelings at all.

In the ancient times of the halflings, it is said that the Great Knox formed our hearts of joyous prosperity and feet of simple travel, and told us to sit down together around the hearth, where there is food, warmth, and comfort. However, in recent days, the halflings have abandoned the hearth, abandoned the villages, and some even abandoning their well formed halfling hearts and souls. It is time for the halfling feet to strike warm earth and feed on warm food yet again.

Thus we gather ‘round a new hearth in the lands of Lotharingia. The days of our scattering and numbers few far behind us. It is time we form together and become anew. It is time for us to stick together like how we have always been, it is time for a new hope for the halfling race.

Larry Shortoak, a Halfling that had seen a number of villages in his time, one that had even been in a position of leadership smiled at the news of a new village. It had been so long since he was last a part of Halfling life. The man had a new sort of life bouncing inside of him. His large feet bounced from the ground like they once did back in Athera, the smoke he had exhaled soon vanished into the air around the druid grove. The season of the Halflings was just around the corner and the old Halfling knew he had to get a taste of the old ways. He would pack some salted meats and vegetables and shoved the food in his bag and would soon rise from his seat. He grasped a hold of his banjo and tossed the bag over his shoulder as he went for the long walk to Pendlemere.

Before the man left he kissed his daughter's forehead before muttering out to her, "I's time we 'ead 'ome. I'll be back soon."

Larry then started to move, peering back to wave goodbye to his daughter as he hobbled off. He knew she would be safe around the druids and Alarica even though he still worried.

Merry pins a map of Tahn to the board which held the notice, hammering a nail in exactly where the village was.

Joff Brightfoot would waddle out of the woods carrying a messy clutter of fishing line and rods, blocking out his upper half from view. Popping up his squinting eyes over the top of the messy bunch, he would look around. He states his opinion on the forming village for no one in specific to hear "I's been a whil, since we ha' a propa communi'y!" He waddles down to the cotton lake and begins to fish as if he hasn't been missing for multiple decades.

Madeline Applebrook, upon entering Pendlemere, was thrilled to see her brother (that she hadn't seen in quite some time), Merridolph Applebrook, was at Pendlemere! She then took up residence in the old burrow of Gerald, and she continues to live in Pendlemere to this day.
