Victoria Vientos stood with her sister-in-law and father in her room, looking over the last details of her gown. “Victoria,” her aunt would exclaim, “You look...exquisite!” The young bride couldn’t help but blush with pride, having worked on the dress for weeks on end. She turned to look at herself in the spyglass that sat on her vanity, adjusting a few locks of hair and shifting her mother’s circlet to sit properly upon her brow. “I...I think I’m ready.” The two would nod, though her father would linger at the door as they made their way out. “My dear, can I just...say something, before we go?” She’d nod with a small smile and quirked brow, “Of course, Father.” Her father would clear his throat, his teal eyes faintly glowing as he looked at his daughter. “Here I am in my seven-hundreds, an old man by elven standards. I thought the rest of my days would be spent without ever truly ever knowing what it was like to have a child.” He’d smile warmly at her, “But you gave me that chance.” The bride’s lip would quiver as she rushed for to embrace her father tightly, “And you gave me a second chance at family...and I will love you forever and always.” After a minute, the two would compose themselves, the father of the bride giving her a final peck on the cheek before leading her to the wedding ceremony.

The crypts of Norland were a very mysterious place, but Victoria had always enjoyed the odd and mystical. Candles and oddly-placed torches lit their way as they descended deeper into the cavernous burial hall, where a Keeper of the All-Father was waiting with her betrothed, Artyom, and his Ashguard. The Keeper bid her step forward, so she sent her father to stand with the other guests and carefully stepped over to the holy man. “We cannot bind our King to a Cannonist,” He’d begin, “So, do you therefore consent to being led from the darkness and into the Light of the All-Father?” Victoria would nod, giving the same question to all of his other questions in regards to her name and the tenants she promised to uphold and follow. The Keeper then bid her step into the pool, so the young bride slipped from her wedding gown and stepped into the pool. Covering herself, she bowed her head in respect for the Keeper as she chose her patron paragon and he cracked a vial of blood above her head. The warm blood trickled down her cheek, and Victoria dunked herself under the water.

As she sat underneath the water for what felt like hours, but really only mere moments, so many visions ran through her head. The corpse of her mother, Anna, lying in state with her forehead in ruin. Her imposing uncle, Frederick, who had seemed so fearsome and noble to her as a child. Her sisters, Alyssa and Julia, whom had cared for her both before and after their mother’s death. Blundermore, the wizard whom she had doted on and followed about in her early years of life. And finally, an image of her current family. Her father, the Master Sage, with her brother Belestram and his wife. Her adoptive family, but more a true family than she had ever had. Victoria blinked, and standing before her was Artyom, reaching a hand towards her from above the water with a gentle smile. She emerged from the shallow pool with his assistance, drying herself before dressing in her wedding adornments once more.

The Keeper bid them join their hands, to which he began to tie a long red cloth around their palms to bind them together. He then asked the King to lead his bride into the pool, which Artyom did so carefully and with a pleasant visage. They recited their vows to each other before the Keeper and the guests, and were then called to exit the pool as man & wife. As they stood, dripping water before the others gathered, Victoria looked to her husband with a gaze full of pure bliss and love. She had finally found the man to love her for all time, her King that she would serve body and soul.

"I hereby announce that our great King, Artyom,  and his queen-consort, Victoria, are hereby joined together in the sight of the All-Father himself!"

"Hmm... I thought the ascended were meant to avoid politics." Julia thought, upon hearing the news. "I suppose there's a lot less truth behind their words than I thought." she shrugged.

[!] It would be known by active Ascended that Victoria was disconnected by the Master Sage a month prior to her wedding.

[!] Julia wouldn't know this, as she's been away mourning the death of her brother.

Fitonor de Fontaine-Elmpool smiles as he hears that Victoria is now married- "A lot of memories with this one, it's a shame that I had to depart from the Ascended. Right as I was getting down to the nitty-gritty." he frowned, shaking his head in disbelief, "Oh well, maybe t'is for the best." he stated as he continued on about his day, "Best wishes for Victoria and her family." he concluded.

The Master Sage sits in his office mulling through portraits of his daughter, "Seems like yesterday she was but a little thing.. How time flies."

Joren begins to chuckle. "Wonder what her uncle will say about this marriage."

Sven would smile "Hopefully this wife is worthy of Artyom, unlike the last one."
