For some of you who know me, have known I have been excited for this specific date for many years. Unfortunately, unless you are an American, this date will mean little.

 

On August 21, 2017, at 130pm EST, 1030am PST, there will be the great american eclipse. Anyone along the path of totality will get up to a four minute total eclipse of the sun.

 

 

If you are not along the path of totallity, thats alright, you still can get at least a 65% coverage of the sun. Most of you will either be at work or in school. For those who aren't in the US and still want to see the eclipse. I will try to set up a stream for the eclipse for any interested. I will be flying out of California and traveling up to Idaho to get into the path of totallity.

 

I know it may not seem that great to many of you, but I just wanted to share.

We had a near total eclipse in the UK a few year ago.

 

 

It was cloudy. 

 

 

Apparently European countries can still witeness a partial eclipse, though nothing is quite as spectacular as a full one.

As promised, I took lots of pictures. I was unable to livestream the eclipse but if you were in discord, I did my best to share what I saw through my camera. Here are the pictures my dad took with his camera.

 

 

It has been an awesome birthday for me, one I wont soon forget. Seeing the eclipse personally was surreal. Not only did it get cold fast, but it was spectacular. I hope you guys love the pictures.

 

Reason the pictures are dark pre-full eclipse is due to us using a special filter to make it visible.
