firegirl7894523 247 Share Posted January 4, 2018 A half of a month had passed. The cold snow's grip had left the land, and turned it into a bountiful and impressive array of sunshine and flowers. Birds chirped, animals roamed around, and after all, things where blooming. Carsandra sat in an empty Inn in an undisclosed location. The First Seed weather outside had lifted her spirits considerably since she ran from the Dominion, her home. As she sat, she thought to herself of why she had left, the dangers she had faced, and the trials she had to overcome. The most haunting image in her mind wasn't that of the memories, but of a person. Artimec. That name inspired her to curl her fist together in a ball, and she took a deep breath to steady her nerves. It was no secret that she thought highly of the Elven Priest when she first met him. Discussing with him about his past, about his mistakes, she saw a different side to him. One away from the rumors and the talk about him. "Man-*****." "Harlot." She remember the citizens calling him that, how they spat his name with such disgust when his back was turned. She had approached him, and asked him if it was really true. He responded with a kind of mirthless chuckle, and he seemed to grow quiet after that. Of course, her feelings for the man changed when she discovered the crowd outside her shop, with her boss, Lin, inside and arguing with Artimec. Artimec, Lin, herself, and Kaylin had went to the council, and discussed Lin's fate for breaking one of the rules. Lin had stormed off, and she had stayed until the end of the meeting, where the Prince spoke. "Artimec, I give you permission to hunt suspected Voidal Magic users and items of Voidal properties. However, the results and conclusion must be clear, and brought up to the Council." In her panic, she fled the Dominion. Pursued by the same man who had opened up to her so willingly. It was a strange tale, honestly. A former friend now turned foe because of what he thought right, when that 'right' was flawed, warped, and twisted. Even himself, for his goals, had unknowingly twisted himself to see that goal into fruition. "Voidal mages only harm others with their magic." Artimec's words echo'ed within her mind. She remembered the way he hurt her and the way she had pushed him away. She thought to herself, how many people has he done that too? How many people has he hurt? She looked the the tavern door, the dirt floor, the fountain, and all the way across to the empty library. She gave a big sigh, rubbing her hands together. "Patron of Druidic justice, more like patron of hypocrite." She mumbled. She stood, preparing her soulstone and herself for the teleport. Before she left, she looked down at the ground. "Maybe in seventy years I'll see you again, Gramps."
OzYmandi 647 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Lin sat quietly in his room, in the Elverhilin Tower in Norseth'onn. He smiled, both the blind eye and the lime orb scanning over a letter that had made his way to him. "We will have our time..."
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted January 4, 2018 Meanwhile Artimec arranged flowers somewhere deep within the Caras Eldar grove, unaware that Carsandra had put herself in self exile or that she considered herself his enemy.
