Ask me anything within reason.

to cover the basics:

Yes, I have a lot of pets.

6 hissing roaches, 5 woodlice 4 rats, 3 cats, 2 hermit crabs, 2 tarantulas, 1 leopard gecko, 1 lovebird, 1 centipede, and 1 dog.

No I do not have pictures of my hermit crabs, I don't handle them or disturb them beyond water changes and food time.

Yes, I do handle some of my roaches. No, they don't bite.

No, I don't handle my tarantulas. It's dangerous for them and could stress them.

Yes, all of their enclosures are decently sized for the number/size of each. I am upgrading the hissing roaches enclosure at some point and possibly adding millipedes to it.

I chose "Hyena" on the forums and "Hyenae" in game because hyenas are intelligent, strong animals and I personally find them adorable.

What emotions does the combination of the words "Cake" and "Fool" cause in you?

Let's not pretend like you didn't choose Hyena because both genders have male genitalia.

What do you think of the halflings?

Yams or Beets?

What is love?

Do Gnomes love gourds?

How much does it cost to take care of the critters you have? They seem like they'd need a lot of different types of care.

Don't lovebirds need to be kept in pairs for the sake of their health? Either that or spend a lot of time with you? How do you manage that?

I just woke up and stay inside most of the time, but I'd imagine it's cold and cloudy outside.

I think the halflings have always been pretty great. Sad to see them lose activity a lot though.

Beets, yourself?

Love is something you can't help, and varies from person to person. Also, what is love? baby don't hurt me . . .

Never met a gnome so I've no idea.

Thanks but I feel I'm not THAT good at her. Really I have no clue aside from playing with Dean, Narthok, and you guys.

I'm not sure why this one didn't quote @Evenfall It's not too bad.

Rat wise:

I wash the ledges etc of my rat cages daily, then change the bedding every three days. I'm switching from the $13 3? lb bags of food for them to a 20 lb bag thats only $45, so that'll help w/ cost a lot too. Otherwise I handle my younger boys throughout the day, let them out of their cage for free ranging in a safe room. My older boys don't like leaving their cage but I do check their respiratory systems from time to time and just do an overall check up to make sure they're healthy. They'll be 3 in October, so they're old men in terms of a rat's lifespan :(.

Cat wise:

Clean the litterbox daily, feed twice a day, and otherwise they might come up and bother me at various times of the day, but they also have plenty of toys and each other. One is 10 in August, my middle cat I believe is 7 or 8, and my youngest is 1.5 years old or so, I've lost track. They're all rescues, oldest is a feral that a rescue picked up at a young age. She and I bonded immediately (we got her due to having to put my last cat down due to kidney failure and my family being genuinely concerned about my health because I just shut down after losing that cat. Oldest hated everyone except me until a couple of years ago. It took my middle cat (who was horribly abused before we got her and rehomed 3 times by the time she was 2) 5 years to warm up to everyone else. My youngest thinks he's king of the jungle and has a bad attitude with everyone except my grandmother. Who he kisses up to and cries to. Ugh haha.

Dog wise:

She stays in the house most of the day, she prefers to sleep. Not very energetic but very hyper if that makes sense. We recently had to put our older dog down due to her cancer. I don't think I could own another dog due to how rough it is to lose one. Though I'd foster. As far as her care goes though, she's allergic to fleas so it's an uphill battle to keep her fur from looking patchy and her comfortable. Feed her twice a day and let her out to play etc a lot. Otherwise she spends a lot of time with her feeder toys and bone in the house.

Hermit crab wise:

Daily water changes and food added. Aside from that I don't interact with them.

the rest:

Tarantula wise I put a mealworm in once a week for them each and call it good.

Leopard gecko wise, change the bedding every other day to day, give him 7-8 mealworms and the occasional cricket. Slowly working on taming him down, so I might take him out for 10-20 minutes a day and post his pictures on snapchat et cetera. He's bit me but eh, doesn't hurt.

Hissing roach wise: Some vegetables and cat food when they run out. That's about it. High humidity in the tank right now w/ a heating pad to encourage them to reproduce. I might move them to a 75 gallon vivarium later on. Isopods (woodlice) to keep their tank clean. bioactive vivariums are the future.

Excluding the dog and cat food I'd say its... $60-80 per month to feed them. Which arguably will be cut down by about $20 or so if/when I start breeding my own mealworms, and more when I switch to the bigger rat food bag.

Love birds don't need to be in pairs unless you'd rather them bond to each other instead of you. My boy isn't the MOST tame but we've slowly but surely been working on it. He bites though, hard, and has drawn blood. So mostly it's just him in his cage sitting next to my desk while I do stuff (rats couldn't care less about his cage) and me giving him milletseed as treats to work on taming him. Never had a tame bird except for my first who I worked with religiously and who loved me beyond a doubt. Don't mind them not being tame though, I'm a fan of hands off pets.

Everything else is in a spoiler to reduce the size of my post.

Listen, right, if the earth was a circle everything would fall sideways. I think that says it all.
