"A man that does not fear Death is no man at all."

Death is not a sweet embrace like many long to believe. There is no GOD nor Aspect that will clutch you when your time begins to tick away at a more rapid pace. In truth, Death is the enemy of all. Even the Necromancers that are hidden away in the mountains, or the transcendent beings that live among us, too, fear it. When you feel your heart begin to seize up, or when you see the sword coming down on your neck, fear embraces you. Even our ancient brothers and sisters cowered before Death.

War is the result of that fear of Death, and so naturally Death is drawn towards War.

Edred Maeyr'onn is just another casualty, another death. If Edred Maeyr'onn was conscious during his final moments, he too would've been touched by that fear of Death. Yet, his enemies unknowingly granted him a great mercy. They took away the great fear that all men face. And for that, if there was a GOD or an Aspect willing to save his soul, he would know that mercy. Yet, there isn't. So mourning may come at the news of his end, happiness and joy along with it. But one must know that he was saved from the fear, when all others will not be.

His head will rest upon the guillotine until another is forced upon the platform. His body will be thrown into a pit of despair caused by War, or disposed of in a river. Many, if not all, will forget of the little life he lived. But the fear of Death remains.

[!] Edred Maeyr'onn would not return home to Haelun'or, nor would any of his allies spot him along the roads. News would be passed around of his unfortunate end. Death by guillotine.

"His head will rest upon the guillotine until another Okarir'sil is forced upon the platform. The role is cursed, do not let your greed and nationalism and pride consume you in your attempts to have this role as I once did, children."

Vandameer muttered, sighing.
