The weathered Alchemist settled on the floor, his equipment, now repaired from the previous damage covers him. His hollowed breath resonates as he slowly drifts off, though thoughts bubble to the surface.

What am I?

I murdered my old friend.

It was life or death.

Mages are scum that must be cleansed.

The Struggler.

What am I to do?

What am I to make?

What am I?

"Innovation. That is what you are, esteemed craftsman." A cold, metallic voice spoke within his mind. He was dreaming, or so he assumed. He stood before a great hallway that boomed with churning cogs and bellowing pistons; a clockwork nirvana operated by the some sort of God. It couldn't be real, a place like this.

"I have been watching. In the dark, in the mire. Your inventions impress me, but it is not enough."

He glanced around him, these machine-make hallways were filled with broken pieces of inventions, with parts of them twitching. This was a strange dream, it made him anxious, clinging to one of the support pillars in the hallway.  He tries to reach down for his weapon, but it was gone. It was just him, the pieces, and the voice in this wretched hall.

The area warps as Klaus remained, pillars melted into puddles, and the ground seemed to break apart into a churning void. He tries his best to avoid the shattered land and melting pillars, but the effort was not enough. The ground shattered below him, sending the alchemist screaming into the chasm below. He felt weightless as he kept falling, his eyes darting about in panic to find that this black was laced with spiralling bright lights that darted around him, and the sound of something ticking, almost like a clock. What seemed like hours would finally give birth to something else in the dark.

He saw a machine, a thing of metal and some other material. It did not appear to be made of magic, no. It seemed natural, created by the hands of the pure.

it was perfection -- a marvelous creation that soothed him -- and as the machine reached out to touch the Alchemist by the cheek, he woke up in a sweat, though he found himself with a newfound inspiration. A will to create; there was work to be done -- a great discovery afoot.

Another is lost in a vivid dream not unlike Klaus', as it appears the machine god has plans in store for those he finds have potential in the material realm. Daniel awakens within his dark, empty shack deep within the Oyashima lands. A sweat had gathered on the Mali's brow, visage sharpening to one of deepened thought. As he had left in search of tying up loose ends before going to chase his dreams, it appears his dreams did not want to wait and came for him first.

The haggard blonde spent the night as most others, slumped therein his small laboratory within some device that could be likened to a chair. A multitude of small tubes fed into his skin, connected in turn to some tanks that fed alchemical sustenance

"I want medicine." He droned aloud in a groggy groan, weakly clutching a vial of blue, what he had come to so heavily rely on these past few years.

Adrian gradually managed to uncork the thing, unable to resist the building need and urge. He passed out thereafter downing the concoction, the craving satisfied for now.

"A weak husk."

"Can we use him?"

These foreign voices ran through him, his eyes did open, though no longer did he reside within his home, but rather some unknown chamber of cogs and machinery. The place rife with things only remotely comparable to Golems, though of metal and not stone. These things stared upon him, scrutinizing over his attire and ragged being, studying the only one carried flesh instead of steel.

"Perhaps, he knows now, time will tell."

-

He'd open his eyes once more, though now within the acquainted place, sweat dotting and running down his features. The man looked over to his desk, bits of metal and tools heedlessly strewn about.
