arakrsptec 171 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Title says it all. I'm going to Mexico this Friday and plan to do some reading on the beach. However, I just finished a series, and am in need of another! Give me names of your favorites! Right now I'm in the mood for fantasy books, but I'll take anything. Hell, give me descriptions if you're passionate about your literature. Thanks ? Algoda 885 Share Posted June 7, 2018 If you havent read the witcher series, i highly recommend them. "The last wish" And "Sword of destiny" are the first two books about Geralt the witcher, but the famous witcher saga doesnt really begin until "Blood of elves". I read them all and along with LOTR it is one of my favourite fantasy universes. Can be a bit harder to get into, but definately worth it. Other than that i recently read the book "Year One" By Nora roberts and found it really good. It has an interesting take on the whole "apocalyptic world wide plagues" + magic, which turned out pretty well imo. Also very easy to read.
Robo_Minecraft 6 Share Posted June 7, 2018 'Ready Player One' if you haven't seen the film already, is a seriously addictive read. George Orwell's '1984' is a classic everyone should check out. In terms of fantasy, Anything by Anthony Horowitz is good teen fiction, especially his power of five series, I highly recommend that. In terms of standalone books 'The Thin Executioner' by Darren Shan is one of my favourites.

Farryn 860 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan, if you're into Low fantasy with a great element of vampires and modernism. Demonata by Darren Shan. The Power of Five Series by Anthony Horowitz (Raven's Gate. Evil Star, Nightrise, Necropolios, and Oblivion). That book series got me into writing and its still an all time personal favourite. The Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance)
