ACT OF PROTECTORATE

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Highness, Alexander Frederick, Privy Seal of the Imperial Crown of Godfrey, 13th Sigismund’s End, 1681.

TO ALL LOYAL SUBJECTS OF THE IMPERIAL CROWN,

 

Whereas We have taken into Our Imperial Consideration the extensive value of the northern territories of Atlas, secured by resurgence of Kadarsi against the natural threat against them. We have thought it fit to issue this, our Imperial Proclamation, hereby to declare it unto all leal subjects of Godfrey’s Crown that, by the advice of our Privy Council and through negotiation with the Caliphate, the following is to come to pass:

 

First--That a bond of protection shall be established between the Empire of Man and the Caliphate of Kadarsi, and through the express power and direction of Our Letters Patent, its rulers shall govern the northern territories in the name of His Imperial Majesty.

 

Secondly--That whereas We recognise that, to bring peace and stability to the provinces, Our Imperial Laws shall be recognised in those areas the Caliphate governs, but that those living within the the territories included under Our Protection, shall not have their own local courts and laws disrupted.  

 

Thirdly--That We do further authorise the continuation of the following; viz. that the local practices and traditions of those living within these boundaries are protected, that the faith of the Kadarsi people’s be maintained and guaranteed. And moreover in the knowledge that, through recognition of Imperial supremacy, the Caliphate retains the right to muster and field Offices and Soldiers of their own Armies.

 

And we do hereby name, with the directive of the Great Seal of the Realm, the Kadarsi Caliphate as an established protectorate of the Empire of Man.
