Dark and heavy are the clouds above Hesin’fin, the tall stone walls of Talar’ikur casting shadows of grey upon the snow-strewn entrance to the city. Despite the usual countenance of the Fennic capital, however, a peculiarity dances in the biting wind.

From the gatehouse is dangled a singular body, secured to the stone by rope and noose, abandoned to drift aimlessly at the mercy of the whims of Wyrvun’s breath. The corpse is left in naught but rags, strips of flesh dangling from its frame, as though hewn apart by a dozen steel blades. Nailed into the decaying flesh of the would-be assassin is a simple wooden sign - secured by a singular spent crossbow bolt through wood and flesh - with two neat words etched upon it.

“Try again.”

Aelthir watches as a second body is strung up next to the first, its sign reading, “Try a third time, I guess.”

Merialeth adjusts the blade strapped to her waist, snow drifting around her form as she brings her gaze away from the bodies strung. Her footsteps leave prints within the snow as she begins back into the city of Talar’ikur. “These bodies are for naught. Fenn will triumph.”

Almithara Annungilben absently trudged through the sleeted expanse bordering Talar’ikur, her stark blue gaze drawn to the dangling bodies serving as a warning to those who had caused so much grief to the Mali’Fenn. ”Whoever is doing this, do not continue. For your own sake,” She’d mutter to herself, already having garnered an idea as to who it could have been orchestrating the several attempts upon herself, and her closest friends.

Aesilnoth finishes stringing up the body to the front gates. He steps back to gander at the corpse ”What a poor attempt.”  He’d state under his breath before returning inside the gates.

Aeluin finally finishes hanging another dead body from the gates as he then shakes his head. “If they keep going like this, even our sheep outside the gates will fight them back.”

Thalion would arrive at the gates of Talar’ikur after a long journey. Tired and in a rush for a warm bed, he would struggle to notice the dead bodies dangling from the external side of the gate house, though the more he realised what it was the more outlandish it was to believe, to see that it was not decorations in celebration of recent festivities like he initially thought but rather a strong message with an express delivery to every man and woman who came to Fenn. “A lack of common sense can make you do idiotic things I suppose. If only these people had been in his right mind, maybe then they would never of tempted their blades towards Fenn.” He exclaims followed with a sigh. Not more than a few seconds were spent pondering the bodies, as though this is to be expected of those who made an enemy of the militaristic Snow Elven race.

Varan Atmorice would chuckle readjusting his new purple cloth looking up to the hanging body. “He cried like a little ***** when we cut him down. I do hope the stupid ***** sends more of her little minions to meet the Ivae’Fenn’s flurry of blades. Now we know what she plans, how long does she think she can keep doing this before recieving another axe to the head? Hopefully by me this time. With that he walked back into the the grand city of Talar’ikur and took his seat in the Atmorice manor chuckling the entire way

Sighard gazed up at the body stung as a Canonist would, frowning with a sigh escaping his lips as he shook his little head at the body "How far Fenn has fallen.." he  let out not caring for the reason of why it was there, nor whom it was, "Perhaps Fenn is falling to ruins, corruption spreads in the edges towards the middle, such a proud nation reduced to hanging bodies up in public spaces... Is there no place left that is not filled with snakes and idiot pretenders?” He stated before he went to turn around to keep on his merry ways, muttering something unspeakable under his breath, a whisper on the breeze would carry him down to his home where he began to continue working on his Enchanted Blade, his masterworks.

Alden sighs as he hears the news and paces back into the tavern, rubbing his temple “I told you to stop this madness. I told you... Oh well, You’ll die soon, and be at peace.” The elf runs a finger across his cheek as he walks across the room towards a fire, shaking his head multiple times “And so Fenn too falls to barbarism and displaying their dead enemies like some kind of animal in a pissing contest.”

A woman clad in black simply chuckled upon catching a glimpse of the corpse.

”Congratulations, several Ivae’fenn are needed to take on just one of our assassins. You must be proud in this significant increase in your army’s competence.”

The woman briefly paused.

“Displaying bodies in such a way. Makes one almost think you all have secret lives as bandits..”

[!] As the Ivae’Fenn tried to storm their pseudo base, they found only a letter, with not a member to be found.

Said letter was written in big, bold letters, with a crimson painted heart drawn below.

”Nice try.”

“Sorry but you were actually the only incompetent Ivae’fenn. Explains why you had to resort to second rate assassins and poison instead of doing anything yourself. Yikes. But, by all means, keep sending them so we can keep farming them,” says Aelthir to no one in particular, I guess. “We already drove an axe through your skull and killed you once. The fact that you are now undead and refuse to stay dead is far better, for we now have the pleasure of doing it over and over again."

The female was not able to respond because Aelthir was speaking to himself like a madman.

Varan would suddenly think, is there any need to reply with petty comments. He would shrug as he let the thought pass

“This notion seems hypocritical,” thinks Aelthir.
