LoTC FAQ: How does this work?

Been playing LoTC for a short while now, been making a small name for myself and getting work where it can be had. I sometimes run into obstacles in regards to LoTC mechanics, social standing, political relations etc... and so I’d like to invite fellow newbies and LoTC vets’ alike to ask and answer questions here.

My first question, one that I’m still researching and asking around for is how the in-game Breeding mechanics work.

After breeding 4 or so animals, species doesn’t seem to matter; the message above appears. I’ve asked in OOC and discords about this, but with no factual availing answer. Someone said it may be 30 minutes--so I waited in the breeding area for 30 minutes and the same message would still appear. Another 30 minutes later and to no avail. Another player had claimed it is 4 hours between breeding sessions, and so I am in the process of testing this and would like either a GM or plugin dev (or anyone really) to reply with a solid answer. I’m a very meticulous and time-efficient person and would like to try and maintain such a standing with my current persona.

 

Edit: TL;DR: I know there is a breeding cool-down time to  most likely prevent over-population of animals and thus preventing unnecessary lag... What is the cool down time for breeding animals, number of animals per breeding session, etc...

My understanding, every server restart you can breed again. This is how the plugin was implemented, unsure if changed.

So this would imply then, that a breeder is only allowed to breed 4 animals every 6 hours?
