Third Alcalde Announced!!!

As the cold wind blows along the street , Duchess Evelyn stands upon the balcony of the hall of lords ,her gaze focused on the crowd below. As she announced another election of the Alcalde of Curonia, she would gesture to Reynauld Silversteed to takes the podium and give his speech.

"Curonians, I know I have excelled the ranking of the military and noble courts, but do not let that image change who I am. I only wish for the best of Curon, and as Alcalde and Commander I believe I can continue keeping our borders safe. My first notion will be to keep the gate occupied with a guard, and having constant shifts for said gate duty, more will be announced about that later through the military posting and trainings.”

 

Reynauld Silversteed looks to the gathering with a stone-cold face, one of a distinguished soldier ,

 

" Secondly, I personally invite anyone who wishes to help Cyirlsburg to come forth; it’s not easy being Alaclade, but it is one helluva show. I support a strong military and the constant low taxes we have, I myself am taxed significantly, so I think that the low tax families deserve their low rates; and I am more than willing to lend a hand if you just contact me,"

 

Ser Reynauld Silversteed coughs slightly, feeling quite inspired

 

"In preserving our Municipality, I implore you to remain faithful to her, and preserving the military of the union we call Umbria. There will be an interesting announcment about Umbria soon, so please keep your ears open;More will be heard of me at court nd I do hope you are all entertained. May God shine brightly on Curon, and let's Keep Curon great!"

"Thank you for your time." he lowers himself as the rain starts, moving to a seat with slow, defined steps.

 

As Reynauld would return to his seat , Duchess Evelyn would offer a nod before calling Augustin Falkenrath to take the podium.

Augustin paces towards the platform, ascending the dias as rainfall begins to pour yet his heart remained resolute in its conviction.

 

"“Fellow countrymen!” he exclaims.

 

"Before us stands an everlasting testament to the absolute perseverance of the Curonic peoples."

 

"From the ashes was this great state hewn from stone and rock, and it is my vision to see this continued."

 

"Long has those with neither amibition nor passion assumed the office of Alcalde, but I declare it no more!"

 

"This office has not spoken for you as it was meant to."
 

"This changes now!"

 

"I will stand for you, as my ancestors have stood for Curon for a millenia!"

 

" I shall stand for all virtues that have been embedded into the soil we stand upon today!"

 

"A vote for me shall be a vote for the hardworking and honest Curonic man, who built all you see around you."

 

"A vote for me shall guarantee change."

 

Duchess Evelyn would offer another nod as Augustin left the podium, saying a few simple words to close this speeches and announce the voting.

As the sun set , the Duke and Duchess would count the votes. Over two saints days so many had chosen in this election. With a nod and soft murmurs to each other the decision was made.

 

Duchess Evelyn would once again take to the balcony, taking a deep breath, her voice would boom out across the square.

“Reynauld Silversteed has once again been chosen by the people of Curonia to serve as Alcalde. We shall formally swear him in at the next court. Well done to both.God Bless”

Vexalia cheered, her  expression one of sheer pride as she heard the news of her close friend’s the triumph. “I can’t say I’m surprised.” She commented. “But I can say I’m proud.”
