[!] Notes were hammered onto several bulletin boards in Haelun’or for the citizens who daily passed through the city’s streets.

The Maheral’s Duty

as issued on the 5th of The Deep Cold, 1719.

-

Impurity, I abhor it, yet somehow it still manages to crawl its way inside our walls of Silver.

With countless trials in the span of mere months showing us how relevant the problem is still to this day, it seems like only a select few are reminded of our sacred principles that Larihei has forged for us. You all rigorously convince yourself that the Silver Enclave is an oasis to all Mali’thilln. Albeit with the recent accusations, I wouldn’t dare to call it even close to that.

I’m concerned and perturbed. Not only for the security of my citizens, yet also for the few Mali who’s mind are so easy to manipulate to succumb to the grievous atrocities of the Dark Arts. To willingly corrupt what is already perfect, I cannot understand. To voluntarily defile your mind in favour for something so heinous, I cannot understand. To use it as an instrument to betray your own kin, I will never understand.

It is my duty as Maheral to protect Haelun’or’s purity and ensure that Larihei’s desire is preserved among our people. With the recent accusations coming from Pelilasdir Vontia’athem, I cannot let it fall upon deaf ears - Even if the Mali spits slander and folly. If I did, I would not be a leader of the people.

Hence why I take the initiative now to firstly eliminate the jeapardizing core of this dire predicament.

I urge and advice Sohaer Dimaethor Visaj to summon Okarir’tayna Caestella Valarieth, Okarir’tir Elrion Visaj and Pelilasdir Vontia’athem to a trial within the building of governance, so they can each receive a fair trial to explain their part of the deplorable accusations called forth infront of the Blessed Citizenry.

Let this missive resonate, dear Mali’aheral. For if you feel addressed by my words of concern, then I implore you to reasses your decisions. It is not too late yet for us to veer back onto Larihei’s path. With the correct amount of dedication spent we can see Haelun’or flourish once anew, as we are the only capable of doing so after all.

The ear-piercing sound of a wine glass sent into a stone floor rang through the Silver Citadel. The shards were spread in a pool of precious Visaj Red, candles illuminating them like arcane crystals in the light of a cold moon. At the desk in an office sat a fuming, pale Elf, fingers fixed in the air as if he still held his glass he had just tossed across the room. To a singular other person who stood in the corner, he growled;

“They spread quickly. I will cleanse them faster.”

“Mmph.” The elf grumbled. “First people accuse me of using dark magic, and now they accuse council members.” Rolling her eyes, the elfess casted the missive into the flames roaring in the fireplace of her manor. “The maheral was all too eager to call these figures forward, but not others who have received similar accusations.”

“Very well. I humbly await the trial to crush the slanderous lies that are being spread about me.” she stated after reading over the missive. “I only follow the path that Larihei has laid out for the Mali’thill and this trial will prove it.” she’d fold the missive and place it in the planner full of events she has planned for the Silver State.

Rosilya grinned cheekily as her arms draped about the ‘fenns neck lazily from behind to surprise her! “Y’know, no one should be safe from prosecution. Otherwise order won’t prevail!” she jeered, lifting her arms from the woman, and stepping about her to pour one more glass of wine, “Besides, if they ARE guilty, it just means some other, more suitable people may take their place.” She smiled, “I’d rather not have someone stain a silver seat with their DIRTY BOTTOM, after all,” she shrugged, sitting opposite Vexalia to finally take a sip of the Uradir-Visaj vintage.

A maly’thill grumbles about Iaria once again attempting to politically castrate effective government members, but then realizes he is too busy not being active within the city to care.

Silir Uradir’s smile permeates wider than usual, his irises tracing over the notice with an eager happiness.

”Elrion Visaj has attempted to spread his lies regarding my own purity in his attempts to rid the city of what he would deem as threats to him and him alone. It is about time he is questioned accordingly. Perhaps, my nephew will soon follow after his recent schemes.”

“I really do hate elves!” The elf proclaimed, the irony in his voice dripping with mirth as he sips the succored red wine.
