Lost within his own thoughts, the young elf Hiren, who befriended many and opposed few, stuck on his over-sized boots and dirty trousers as he made his way out of his abode. The thin man, per usual, wandered into the square of Sutica, briefly greeting the citizens with dim smiles and half-hearted waves. Today, however, he continued past the square and left the city via the gates. Despite his young age, the half-Ascended’s glowing teal eye had grown dull and tired with time. His posture was slouched sheepishly and his once-flamboyant demeanor had faded away years ago. With this typical, flat expression, Hiren continued on his way and refused to turn when some of the civilians tried to grab his attention. He would not be seen by anybody for a long time, if ever; he muttered a few apologies as he went. . .

 

“Sorry Dad.

Sorry Marcella.

Sorry Steven.

Sorry Evelyn.

Sorry Ringer.

Sorry Alex.

Sorry Mystery.

Mystery stares towards the square as he watches Hiren leave. The man feels his head throb as his memories seemed to hurt, yet something he remembered very well was that of Hiren and the talk between the two. Despite what the man tried to tell himself he noticed the kid walking in a rather peculiar fashion to something he had seen before. The elf lets out a snicker as he’s just happy to have finally seen the kid for the first time in 5 years, a long time it felt like for some reason.

 

“HEY HIREN, WHATS UP MY MAN? TURN AROUND YEAH? Got some GOOD sh*t tah talk about yeah?” he says with his usual smirk though Hiren doesn't seem to turn around to his surprise. The man watches him move towards the Sutican gates as he gets up off the bench and begins to follow but his metal digits seem to twitch as he moves forward 

 

”H-HIREN YAH TURN DEAF IN THE LAST FEW YEARS EH? Got some stuff tah talk about yeah? It’s been a long t-“ the man looks down at his foot as he notices himself unable to move farther. The suited elf’s throat seems to clench tight as all that leaves him are stutters and other sounds of gags. He falls to his knee as he grips at his throat and feels the same feeling he gets when everyone else leaves.

 

He reaches out a hand towards Hiren as his hand twitches, he doesn't wanna believe it but something in his head tells him its time for it to happen once more... He only gets out a few words “Hiren.. my friend why did you have to leave too?...” 

 

He sits there for multiple minutes in silence as his eye goes dim... It’s at that time Myst lost the only friend he felt he had left.

Alexandra would let out a sigh, stepping into the room she entered so often. She pulled the chainwhip off of her body, and struck a dummy found in the center of the room with it. Over, and over.

”So it goes.”
”So it goes.”
”So. it. goes.”

Alexandra whispered a word, and the chains ignited into a mighty flame soon after. The simple training item turned to a strewn-apart ashen pile only a few moments later. She turned on her heel, stepping into the corner and pulling another one out.

”This is for you.”
