The Mayor of Ves thanks the events organizers, our citizens and our visiting fellow Imperials for making this a success. Despite attacks from road vagabonds, no peaceful festival goers were injured and the Army of Kaedrin was able to keep the peace! We look forward to having you all at our next festivities! Men of Lorraine A group of Lothrarnian people under Captain Loras of Lorraine had arrived to the Monastery of Saint Robert a few months back in 1726 pledging to protect the local citizens and clergymen for the glory of GOD. They have devoted themselves to GOD and His Church, The Emperor and the King of Ves and help protect the local roadways with the Army of Kaedrin. The Lothrarnian people under Captain Loras await a strong leader of the d’Amaury family to lead them to prosperity and a new home for their people. The Mayor of Ves welcomes our new friends and hopes the good LORD answers their prayers. Wandering, able-bodied Lothranians, contact Captain Loras of Lorraine (@The Combatant) to aid your countrymen! The Grand Opening of the Monastery of Saint Robert Our Humble Chapel Efficient and well supplied clinic An ever expanding library of quality reads! An aviary to send word to any of the main human kingdoms. After months of renovations to the old school building, the Monastery of Saint Robert has officially opened its doors to the public. Give us your weary, your malnourished and all your faithful from noble to low blood, human to uruk. None of GOD’s followers will be turned back (so long as all the rules are followed). A new clinic has opened up and has seen a heavy spike in usage with many of our acolytes still learning medicine. We are accepting all outside medics wishing to use our facilities to tend to the ill and injured of Ves. Contact Acolyte Alice (@Amayonnaise) for medical training and/or employment at the clinic. The old books from the School Library have been safeguarded since renovations began and the Library of Saint Robert (Patron Saint of Poetry) has now been opened ON THE SECOND FLOOR! We are accepting all book donations to contribute to our growing body of literary works. We will accept all pieces of literature that do not promote sedition or treason against the Church, the Empire or Kaedrin. Creation of the Office of Parks and Recs To maintain public grounds and organize city planned events, the Mayor of Ves has seen it fit to create the Office of Parks and Recs. Commissioner Josephine de Jedih, head of the Office of Parks and Recs, shall be given the following responsibilities: The responsibility of organizing events for holidays and special occasions for the City of Ves (with appropriate funding from the Mayor). The responsibility of adhering to all building codes established by the city clerks and reporting suspicious items on city grounds to the army. On the Riot The recent riot in Ves between foreign tourists and the Army of Kaedrin was an ugly incident I’ll always remember through the skull fracture it gave me. Despite the damage to property and the injured, I wish to commend the Army of Kaedrin for showing restraint to non-citizens of Ves despite the sudden, unwarranted hostility towards law enforcement. Liberty reigns and the law enforced and the Army of Kaedrin reports a total of 7 arrests, 0 fatalities and the official end to the Vessian Riots of 1726. Three of the arrested were fined while the other four were sent to the Monastery of Saint Robert to serve a year’s worth of community service instead of jail time or execution. God Bless the Just and Merciful King Adrian I! The Mayor of Ves would like to remind all visitors to Ves to respect law enforcement and civilians while you are within our city. The uncivilized world would execute foreigners for less but our grand nation believes in fair trial and due process. Reform and act right, such mercy may not be given to REPEAT OFFENDERS. News from the Frontier Cultist Activity The Army of Kaedrin reports of cultist activity west of Ves out in no man’s land. During a raid on the compound, the brave men of Kaedrin sustained several reported casualties on account of mutated humanoids but was otherwise successful in the culling of degeneracy in the region. The Mayor of Ves issues a disclaimer to all Vessians to avoid the roads but also going too far from the road. The Mayor of Ves advises all Vessians avoid the western frontier of Kaedrin. The Skirmish of the Burning Hills, Reclamation of the Bee Farm The Army of Kaedrin successfully pushed the ratmen out of the occupied Bee Farms owned by the Monastery of Saint Robert in the latter months of 1726. While a siege was being prepped on the rat fort dubbed ‘Ratstanbul’, an legion of ratmen swarmed the siege camp killing some auxillary forces but the Army of Kaedrin remained firm and now plan their conquest to finally push the ratmen out of Kaedrin. Gone Fishing, the ‘Aquatic Dragon’ The Army of Kaedrin returned with a humongous haul from the eastern sea - a large marine reptile local fishermen refer to as the ‘Aquatic Dragon’ was slayed and brought back to the city of Ves for civilians to see and touch in person. The beast was then harvested for body parts and trophies with its meats being fed to the Kaedreni Canine Task Force.
