It is on this very eve that I, Francis de Alba, son of Angelo I and his rightful successor, have returned to my father’s demesne to claim my birthright, ascending myself to the Count of Astorga, furthermore aligning myself with the ilk of Morsgrad.

My Father had sought it best for his Kingdom whilst he served as Lord-Regent to rebel against the Kingdom of Helena and its wicked influence that does nothing but siphon from those with the misfortune to be administered beneath it. Yet, the council had cast him out as regent and instilled themselves once more amongst the Helenian grasp. In return, they were revoked of their Kingly status as Peter III unlawfully claimed it, retroactively applying a new bill passed which was mockingly named after my House, the lineage of de Alba.

To that, it remains impossible for me to go against what I - and my Father - believe to be right:

I formally declare the County of Astorga  independent from Peter III, The Kingdom of Helena & Curon.

Signed,

Francis de Alba, Count of Astorga

Julius Salviatti, the best friend of Ser Angelo de Alba would congratulate the young Count of Astorga “A wise decision, as long as you step down from your position if your father ever returns, of course” he’d say before shrugging as he remembers how the evil Princess Ester Devereux and Peter III conspired together to overthrow Ser Angelo, the rightful Lord Regent of Curonia and guardian of Wilhelm II Devereux.

The Duchess of Furnestock peers out of her bedchamber, surveying the mountaintops and their residing forests of viridescent green. News of the secession had reached her hours ago and kept her pensive. Lilting her head, the heiress exhales, perching her chin atop a hand, reclined now against the ballister.

”Dirige me, DEUS.”

Mister Muffins brings out a fine parchment, unrolling it across the table nearest to Godric then bringing the parchment close. An inkwell is brought and a quill is dabbed into the ink before being dragged towards the parchment. “Speak what you wish to be placed onto the writ, Master. I’d also like to add we’re running out of ink but I will see it that more is acquired at the earliest convenience.

Timothée de Fontaine raises a brow upom reading the Act, not really sure of what'll happen to his small little Arts Troupe located within Astorga.
