Kariv sits down on his couch, looking across over his little view of the city. He stands, placing a letter in his pocket.

”Unfortunate. . .”

The ‘Ker pauses for a moment, trying to think of a joke to lightening the situation, before sitting back down and breaking into tears.

Sitting in an unimportant house on the outskirts of Sutica, an elf long rendered blind was left miserable. Upon hearing the news of Hiren’s passing, she wept.

Eventually she left her home, a bundle of flowers in her hand. Her expression was solemn as she made her way to the spot of Hiren’s burial, or spot of death.

Gently, she rested the flowers at the site. If she could cry, tears would certainly be streaming from her eyes.

Attached to the bundle of flowers was a small note, left for Hiren, or those grieving along with her.

“We miss you Hiren. I miss you Hiren. You are and forever will be loved.”

It was as though every day grew harder and harder for the aged Dael. First his son, his friends, his only blood relative, and now his grandson. In absolute despair the man hung his head so low in complete shame and sadness. He often times misunderstood as to why he had gone this far, through everything that had happened, but at the same time he knew that he must push forward. There was, after all, a light somewhere even in the darkest of places. Even with his pursuit to greatness, he struggled to keep happy as he had lost one of the very few people that he actually had cared for greatly.

A great loss today. “ He murmured to himself many many many times as he went, totally destroyed in his grand and complex mind space.

Jiangu stood in the middle of Sutica. For days he had sought the one true friend he had made. Recently connected to the streams of Chi it was to his great sadness that he would find knowledge of Hirens death. In a state of despair, at the loss of his sole friend, he wandered for a long time. At first it was shock, then it turned into anger. But for Jiangu, anger existed almost not, but still were there holes left in random spots in the ground somewhere in the wilds. Sadness came and went, but never would he move on to accept that his greatest friend, and mighty scholar of the void, would ever be truly dead.

“One is only truly dead once they are no long remember. For this, Jiangu shall remember greatly, as cannot forget such a great existance. Rest east, Xiongdi.”

Although Alexandra had moved on, she took note of her old friend’s passing.

”Such a shame he’s died so young. The best of us fall too early.”

A few tears were shed, a bottle was raised, and she continued on with her day.

”The god’s love their cruel tricks...” Muttered a certain man, balled up and shaking in the endless deserts of Aeriel--his conniving mind maddened by the torment of his afterlife. If only... if only I could find a way out of the constraints of this...this...this blasted wasteland...” His voice echoed for miles, only heard by the fellow damned souls of the realm. “My boy needs me...she needs me...they all need me.” He remained quiet in self contemplation. After some time, he roared. “RELEASE ME, SCOUNDRELS! RELEASE ME! I’LL RIP OUT YOUR HEARTS! RELEASE ME!” The man went on for quite some time till his breath failed him. He fell, beaten and broken. No rest for the wicked...

While drinking a cool glass of apple juice, a sweatered elf, severed from time, pauses as he feels a disturbance. He looks to the sky, and with a saddened expression, says a single parting word to his old friend.

”Bruh.”

He proceeds to pour the apple juice out on the ground for his former sidekick.
