-A Peculiar Lab-

A rather strange elf walked around a room crowded with bits and bobbles, jars, vials, even plants and other oddities. A cauldron sat in the middle, bubbling an odd substance, while his tables housed alchemy tools. “I tried to warn them…” murmured the elf as he moved to grasp at a vial which held the blackest of biles, yet his hand would shake and tremor like some sort of fiend. The vial would slip from his hand, crashing against the floor and leaving a nasty mess. “Eughk!” grumbled the maddened elf, as he moved to peer out the window- his mind seemingly unable to concentrate on anything for extended periods of time.

At last, his ravishing delusions had taken space in his mind never-more, for he stumbled forth to sit down upon his study, scribbling fervorously onto a piece of parchment using an inked quill.

When they came, I thought naught of how they might affect the realm of our’s. Yet foolish I was, to not have known… to not have seen.

“Begone! From Whence ye came!” I cried at them, yet the demons who shall not be named from a place which shall not be named did not falter. So I tried once more, using more of myself than I should’ve been able to muster, the righteous flame was sent forth to baste said demons of foul ilk. “Never-more to return!” I cried this time as his righteous flames licked the face of a demon, perhaps injuring it- yet it still stood mighty. Though after a few more moments, the demon fell dead to his own wickedness. Yet it was not a time for celebration.

Be it that night, that I finally realized... GOD is our only hope for salvation. The onslaught of sin has crash landed upon us, an entire legion of sickly, red-skinned, horned amalgamates.

And the wretched will not stop. They simply won’t, their only wish is to devour us and our realm, they wish to have our souls.

Yet we mustn’t allow it. In my days prior to the first sighting, my faith in GOD was non existent. Though he is our only hope, the almighty and his Martyr surely.

As many may think, desperate times call for desperate measures. Though to grow hasty would be to wish for death.

The sky will fall to darkness, and the legions will march upon our cities. We must wait for this time, in which would be the best to fight back. The time must be right, or our doom will be upheld and our souls baked with an eternal oven. I beg not for any foolish knights who think themselves to be heroes to attempt to attack the fallen stars.

Many have died already, and many deaths are to come. GOD bless them.

But such is life, we are born to die.

What for? This question plagues my mind.

And I am yet to find the answer.

Come to think of it, there are many questions left unanswered.

Our minds are weak and our life force is brittle.

What purpose do we serve?

Why do the demons wish to have our souls?

We all are nothing more than fleas on a dog.

Like a minnow taking residence in a greater ocean, the minnow knows naught of what else lies amongst himself. If only he could live long enough to explore more, or perhaps grow lungs to see what's above the waterline.

There is much more to this life, and I'm sure nobody can beg to differ.

Greater things are out there, yet we cannot bear the sight with our own eyes.

Our minds are not strong enough to even withstand the thought, t’is why we cannot see GOD, or any other Gods and higher beings.

Perhaps the elden Gods, the Gods of yore… the old Gods is what comes to mind upon this subject.

Why have the old Gods forsaken us upon this wretched year, if anything is true.

Fools, you all are. For even I too, am a fool. We have failed to repent, to pray and beg to the almighty himself for forgiveness.

Perhaps it is too late now.

Doom is impending, and even the stars in the sky are against us.

Even the moon is against us, for it blocked out the sun.

Hearken… hope is not yet lost, though we will see.

We will finally feast our eyes upon the meaning, and the hunger for knowledge will be sated.
