Public Request for a Sorcerer

14th of Owyn’s Flame, 1779

Issued and Confirmed by the Governor-General of Kaedrin

[!] A missve is collected from Jude Hall in the Varoche Palace, sent out to all corners of Arcas.

To relevant persons to which this might pertain or interest,

Given the recent onslaught of Inferi forces in the Korvassa, it is the foremost desire of the Governor-General and his second, the Lieutenant-Governor General, to provide what we can to our great Holy Orenian Empire. It is the mission of our Commonwealth to summon any willing and good-willed mage to the halls of the Varoche Palace, to stand for interview and consideration as our Court Mage and magic adviser.

Given the supernatural element of our demonic enemy, the threat against our Empire is too great to leave only to those who understand martial combat. It is our hope that such an adviser will prove invaluable, aiding in our own investigation into these matters to eventually contribute to the greater-Imperial Cabinet’s collective knowledge. This position will include a pension and chamber within the Varoche Palace upon Mont. Saint Catherine.

It is GOD’s will that we see this menace extinguished.

Her Excellency, the Lady Lorena Annabelle Helvets, Lieutenant-Governor of Kaedrin

Dresden scoffed upon reading the missive. ”Why would anyone want a mage? What would they do against this dilemma? Make a candle?“ He’d then chuckle to himself.

High Keeper Alisa quietly takes note of the request for magical assistance as word is brought to her. “Fools, taking up with the agents of the darkness. Clearly they know not the trouble and frustration they invite when it comes to mages.”

The Ashbringer of Norland would hum as she reads the paper, her eyes dimly glossing over the missive.

"One need not be a mage to understand our foe, but so long as they're competent and don't needlessly send men to die against the Infernal host, we should take what help we can get."

She would neatly fold the missive, tucking it into her pocket, marching down the cobbled path once more, resuming her everlasting patrol across Arcas. "My suggestion to the Kaedrini would be to seek out knowledge in the Imperial library of Helena, and perhaps convene with the Sea Prince to acquire the necessary knowledge to defeat these scourge. This threat is not one born of the void, but of the hells themselves, and a mage would prove of little use in understanding this threat, much less combating it."

Vritra drank at her tea, holding the missive for her to simply read for the short moment. Raising her eyes towards the window, in the  direction of the human lands. A simply mage shall not provide you the comfort you seek, yet someone with a caliber of power and intellgience. Learn, those that dwell so plainly are to be the most suspected.

[!] A liveryman is sent forth from the walls of the Varoche Palace, in search of this wise woman who was rumored to dole out prophecy and wisdom.

A rather tall adunian man meandered the roads, randomly picking up one of these requests and laughing. Regardless, he’d write a bird and send it forth.
